LEMON (OR LIME) SUGAR (OR SALT) SCRUB
This recipe will gently exfoliate your hands and/or feet and remove dead skin, leaving you refreshed, soft and silky. You can be pretty experimental with the quantities of each ingredient; it's forgiving and well-adapted to suit each user. Keeps 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator. Great gift in a tightly-capped jar!

SALT SCRUB
The primary purpose of a salt scrub is to exfoliate your skin. It also hydrates your skin because the salt is combined with oil and usually some aromatic like lemon, lavender, or even figs. The salt scrub is rinsed off and leaves your skin feeling very soft and fragrant.

Steps:
- Combine the oil and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add essential oil and combine well.
- To use, apply to dry skin using circular strokes to exfoliate the skin. Sit on the side of the tub to keep the scrub from making a mess. Don't use a salt scrub if you have any cuts in your skin.
- Shower off or follow with a warm bath. Make sure you use a non-slip surface as the oil makes the tub slippery.

EARTH SCRUB (A GREEN "SOFT SCRUB") ALL-PURPOSE CLEANER
This is a great "soft scrub" for counters, sinks, tubs, shower stalls, etc. You can optionally add an essential oil to scent. (I use Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castille soap, so I don't need any extra scent.) It's important to use liquid soap, not detergent, because detergent makes it much harder to rinse. Castille soap is best; it's available at health food stores. It's great to use this and know you're saving money while being kind to your lungs and the planet at the same time! I got this recipe from Karen Logan's book, Clean House, Clean Planet (a great book!). You can add a few drops of tea tree oil to make it disinfectant and use it for a toilet bowl cleaner.
