Categories     Desserts     Cookies

Time 2h5m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (14 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®), crushed
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
12 popsicle sticks
1 (14 ounce) bag white almond bark, cut into small chunks
24 miniature chocolate chips, or as needed
¼ cup small round candies (for decoration), or as needed
1 orange slice candy, cut into pieces to resemble a carrot

Steps:

  • Mix crushed cookies and cream cheese together in a large bowl. Divide and shape mixture into 24 balls, making 12 of them slightly larger than the other 12.
  • Slide one larger ball and then one smaller ball onto each popsicle stick so they resemble snowballs stacked atop one another.
  • Freeze pops until set, at least 1 hour.
  • Put almond bark into a microwave-safe bowl; heat in microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and continue to heat in 15-second increments, stirring in between, until melted completely and smooth, 15 to 30 seconds more.
  • Roll pops in melted almond bark to coat. Decorate the pops to resemble snowmen by using miniature chocolate chips for eyes, small round candies for shirt buttons, and pieces of orange candy for the nose.
  • Refrigerate "snowmen" until set, at least 30 minutes.

BAKERELLA'S SNOWMAN CAKE POPS

Bakerella's Snowman Cake Pops image

Make jolly snowmen cake pops this holiday season that are (almost) too cute to eat.

Provided by By Betty Crocker Kitchens

Categories     Dessert

Time 2h30m

Yield 48

Number Of Ingredients 17

1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix (any flavor)
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
1 cup Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy frosting (any non-chip, no-nut flavor)
Waxed paper
Cookie sheets
3 bags (12 oz each) white candy coating
Paper lollipop sticks
Orange candy-coated sunflower seeds
1 bag (12 oz) blue candy coating
White sanding sugar
Black edible pen
Blue mini candy-coated power mint candies
Pink confetti sprinkles
Black confetti sprinkles
Jumbo snowflake sprinkles
Toothpicks
Block of white plastic craft foam

Steps:

  • Make and bake cake mix as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan. Cool completely; crumble into a large bowl.
  • With a large spoon, thoroughly mix cake and frosting.
  • Roll mixture into quarter-size cake balls, and place on a waxed paper-covered cookie sheet. Place cake balls in the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm up. You can then transfer them to the refrigerator to keep chilled and avoid freezing.
  • Place white candy coating in microwavable bowl so that the coating is at least three to four inches deep. Melt uncovered in the microwave in 30-second intervals on Low, stirring in between. Repeat until melted and smooth.
  • Remove a couple of cake balls from the refrigerator at a time. Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted coating, and insert into a cake ball no more than halfway through. Dip and remove the cake pop in one motion without stirring. Make sure the entire cake ball is covered. If your coating is too thick, you can add a little vegetable oil to help thin it and make it easier to work with.
  • Remove and gently tap off any excess coating to fall off the pop and back into the bowl. Before the coating sets, gently press an orange candy-coated sunflower seed in position for a nose. Place in craft foam to dry.
  • You can get creative with placement of candy and sprinkles for fun expressions and details. Here are a few ideas.
  • For sock caps, dip white cake pops at an angle into melted blue candy coating and sprinkle with white sanding sugar while the coating is still wet. When dry, dot on more blue candy coating with a toothpick, and sprinkle with more sanding sugar. Use the toothpick to gently make indentions on the brim of the cap. Alternatively, you can use a toothpick to apply white candy coating for a white brim, and sprinkle with white sanding sugar.
  • You can draw on eyes and mouths with a black edible pen and use various sprinkles and add-ons to give your snowmen character. Dot on a small amount of coating to attach blue mini candy-coated power mint candies for earmuffs and pink confetti sprinkles for rosy cheeks. Coal eyes and mouths can also be achieved by using black confetti sprinkles. And jumbo snowflake sprinkles are like the icing on the cake pop for these snowmen. Use them to adorn their cute little hats. Let dry completely, and enjoy!

SNOWMAN CAKE POPS

Snowman Cake Pops image

Make and share this Snowman Cake Pops recipe from Food.com.

Provided by Lavender Lynn

Categories     Candy

Time 10h

Yield 20 pops, 20 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

white cake, from a box mix
1 1/2 cups buttercream frosting
1 (20 ounce) package almond bark
20 lollipop sticks
20 orange colored chocolate covered sunflower seeds
5 slices sour belt candies
40 m&ms candies
twizzlers candy
1 large round candy sprinkles
black food color pen or black food coloring and a toothpick

Steps:

  • Crumble the cake and mix with buttercream frosting.
  • Scoop out into 2 inch balls, shape into pears, and freeze on a parchment lined sheet.
  • When they are set, insert the lollipop sticks into the heavy end of the pears. Freeze some more.
  • Set up a snowman assembly line. First the M&Ms, then the sour belts(cut into fourths, in half lengthwise and crosswise), then the sunflower seeds, then the twizzlers (separated and cut into 3/4 inch lengths), then the button sprinkles, then the styrofoam block.
  • In a double boiler or in the microwave, melt the almond bark.
  • One at a time, assemble the snowmen like so;.
  • Dip the pear into the almond bark and roll so that it is completely coated, down to the stick. Tap off excess so that the coat is nice and thin, and smooth the drip.
  • Place an M&M on either side of the snowman's head for the muffs.
  • Wrap a sour belt around the snowman's neck.
  • Apply the snowman's nose (orange sunflower seed).
  • Link the two muffs together with a piece of twizzler.
  • By this time, the coat has probably dried up. You may have to use a toothpick and use some of the almond bark as "glue" for the snowman's buttons.
  • When all pieces are on, stick the snowman in the styrofoam block for him to dry.
  • Repeat steaps 7-13 until all the snowmen are assembled.
  • Once dry, you can draw on or paint on the snowmen's faces with a black food color pen or just black food coloring and a toothpick.

SNOWMAN BOUQUET OR POPS

Snowman Bouquet or Pops image

A cute & fast gift! The idea is adapted from Gooseberry's 2007 holiday book. One batch made two gifts in a mug with 6 snowmen and several individual pops.

Provided by Susie D

Categories     Candy

Time 1h5m

Yield 16 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

32 large marshmallows (1 bag)
1 lb almond bark (white)
16 sturdy wooden skewers (long)
1 cup royal icing
paste food coloring

Steps:

  • Note: You will need the sturdy wooden skewers, not the thin ones. The pops are very heavy after dipping. Popsicle sticks could be used if making only individual pops.
  • Place two marshmallows on the flat end of each of the 16 skewers. Do not pierce all of the way thru the top marshmallow. Be sure the pointed end of the skewer is down and not inside the marshmallows!
  • Break almond bark into chunks. Place into micro safe bowl & cook 1 minute in the microwave. Stir. Continue microwaving 30 seconds at a time until melted. Stir each time.
  • Dip the skewers into the melted almond bark. Roll until well covered. Let dry. Note: After dipping I poked the skewers through the holes in an upside down colander to let dry.
  • Color the royal icing in desired colors and pipe on eyes, a carrot nose, mouth, and a scarf or buttons. Let dry completely before proceeding to arrange or wrap. You can also use icing in the tubes if a long hold time is not needed.
  • Cut skewers into desired lengths. Arrange into a bouquet in a coffee mug or other container. I placed styrofoam and shredded paper in the mug so there would be a base to hold the pops. After the bouquet is made wrap it in a printed or clear cellophane bag & tie with ribbon. (not shown) You can also wrap individually with plastic wrap & tie with a ribbon or poke them into a vase with a flower frog.
