SNICKERS SALAD ( NO PUDDING)
When we lived in South Dakota, this was a very common salad. Now that we live in Missouri, no one has ever heard of it! The other recipes call for pudding in the mix but try this one, it is pure and delightful. I would suggest that you make it no more than an hour or two before you serve it. The apples will tend to get soggy if made too far in advance. Time includes chilling time although I usually make it right before supper and serve immediately.

- Empty 3 oz. package of instant vanilla pudding into mixing bowl. Add 1 cup milk and stir two minutes.
- Take the 1-2 bananas, remove the peel, and slice into small pieces. Do not do this very long before serving, as the fruit might discolor.
- Take the 1-2 Granny Smith apples and chop into small pieces.
- Take the 1-2 Snickers and cut them into small pieces.
- Add 8 oz. of whipped topping to the vanilla pudding, stirring it in thoroughly but gently. When ready to serve, add the bananas, apples, and Snickers pieces, mixing them in.
- If desired, add any remaining pieces of Snickers on the top as a garnish.

Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cold milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes.
- Let stand until soft-set, about 2 minutes.
- Fold in the thawed whipped topping.
- Fold in the chopped apples, grapes, and half of the chopped Snickers candy bars.

- Core and chop all but one of the apples. Toss with lemon juice or 7-Up if making this salad in advance. Pat dry.
- Chop all but one Snickers into bite sized pieces.
- Fold in the chopped apples and Snickers. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
