"Since pizza is a big favorite with my teenagers, I like to keep these crispy snacks on hand," says Ruby Williams of Bogalusa, Louisiana. "Loaded with toppings, they go right from the freezer to the oven with little time and effort. And they're always a hit."

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 jar (4-1/2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/3 cup chopped pepperoni
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons chopped ripe olives
5 English muffins, split

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Spread over cut side of each muffin half. Cover and freeze for up to 2 months., To use frozen snacks: Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.

For a satisfying snack, spread slices of French bread with this thick cheesy mixture. "It's a very adaptable recipe," notes reader Beverly Mons of Middletown, New York. "It would also be good with Italian sausage instead of ground beef."

1 pound ground beef
1 jar (26 ounces) marinara or spaghetti sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 loaf Italian or French bread, cubed or sliced

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in marinara sauce and oregano. Gradually stir in cheese until melted. Pour into a fondue pot or a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker to keep warm. Serve with bread.

6 slices bacon
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
2 medium onions, chopped fine
1 green pepper, chopped fine
1 (8 ounce) can mushroom pieces, drained
1/2 lb mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
100 g salami or 100 g pepperoni, chopped small
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Chop and fry bacon until soft not overly crispy.
  • Remove bacon, cook onion and pepper until soft and add bacon.
  • Add remaining ingredients stir until cheese has melted.

1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
2 (6 ounce) cans baby shrimp, drained
1 (1 ounce) jar seafood cocktail sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 green pepper, finely chopped
3 green onions, finely chopped
1 large tomatoes, chopped

Steps:

  • Line a pizza pan with tin foil.
  • Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture on lined pizza pan.
  • Spread seafood sauce on top, and then sprinkle on baby shrimp.
  • Top with green pepper, green onions, and tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Serve with crackers and/or nacho chips.

1/2 cup chopped green pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients.
  • Transfer to an 11"x7"x2" baking dish.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until edges are bubbly and lightly browned.
  • Serve with crackers, breadsticks and/or French bread.

1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/3 cup pizza sauce
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
16 pepperoni slices
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375.
  • Spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray.
  • Unroll dough into 1 large rectangle.
  • Press perforations to seal.
  • Spread pizza sauce over dough to within 1 inch of edges.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • Starting on a short side, roll up dough, jelly roll fashion.
  • With a sharp knife, cut into 16 slices.
  • Place cut side down on cookie sheet.
  • Top each slice with 1 pepperoni slice and about 1 tsp.
  • mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown and cheese is melted.
