Smudging Herbs Following are some basic uses for various herbs. You can smudge your home to clear negative energy or to invite good things. To do this start at the farest place away from your front door, hitting every nook and cranny, making your way to the front door. You can smudge yourself to release negative energy or invite good to happen. You do this starting from the top down and doing both sides of your body You can make them by hanging your herb plants upside down to dry then bundling them together you just tie them tight and light one end and let it smolder

SAGE IS USED FOR CLEANSING, TO DISPEL NEGATIVITY, EVIL SPIRITS AND INTENTS,TO PURIFY, TO RELEASE GHOSTS TO THE SPIRIT WORLD AND TO CLEANSE PAST OCCUPANTS FROM A NEW HOME.
A COMBINATION OF SAGE, SWEETGRASS, AND TOBACCO IS USED WHEN SEEKING VISIONS.
JUNIPER ESPECIALLY IS THE FAVOURITE OF THE THUNDERBIRD (CALLED WAKINYAN BY LAKOTAS), WHO PROTECTS THE 4 WINDS AND WEATHER.
GENERAL PURPOSES, IT SWEEPS NEWNESS AND FRESHNESS IN WITH THE WINDS. DON'T FORGET TO BURN JUNIPER DURING A THUNDERSTORM FOR THE THUNDERBIRDS PLEASURE

  • for smudging you need a wand, hense the herb in a stalk bundled together. Directions under notes above. However you can use the herbs in other ways like in steam on a stove, lighting a coal and adding the herbs to smolder on the hot coal, In a bonfire (need a lot for that), adding them to a perfume base. adding them to sweet oil and shaking every day for a week then straining and using as anointing oil.
