S'MORES ICE CREAM RECIPE
S'mores Ice Cream filled with graham crackers, chocolate, and toasted marshmallows. This recipe makes the perfect s'more ice cream to bring back campfire memories!

Steps:
- Mix together milk, whipping cream, sugar, salt and vanilla. Pour into the insert of ice cream maker and make according to ice cream maker instructions. In the meantime, place marshmallows on a baking sheet and broil for about 3 minutes, taking care not to burn. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Once ice cream is almost ready, add crumbled graham crackers and chocolate pieces. Tear apart marshmallows and add pieces to ice cream as well. Continue making ice cream until it has completely made. Serve immediately for softserve ice cream or place in an airtight container and place in freezer for a few hours or overnight for a firmer ice cream.

- Freeze the ice cream bowl: Place the ice cream maker churning bowl in the freezer the day before you want to make ice cream. (Most manufacturers recommend that the churning bowl be frozen for 24 hours before making ice cream.)

- In a medium saucepan, heat milk, sugar, and salt over medium-heat. Stirring constantly, let mixture reach just the point of simmer and remove from heat.
- While milk is heating, lightly whisk egg yolks in a separate bowl. Slowly pour about half of the warm milk into the bowl with the yolks, whisking continuously. Then pour egg/milk mixture back into the saucepan with the rest of the milk.
- Continue to cook over low heat, whisking all the while, about 5 minutes. When the mixture coats the back of the spoon, remove saucepan from heat.
- Pour heavy cream into a large bowl. Strain the egg/milk mixture into the heavy cream, stirring all the while. Add in the vanilla extract and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

- In a large pot, bring to boil the first six ingredients. Once boiled, lower the heat and cook until mixture is smooth and everything is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and cool for an hour. As pot is usually hot, move mixture to another container to cool.
- Pour liquid into ice cream maker and churn (See Note 1). Churn until ice cream thickens (refer to ice cream maker manual to determine time needed).
- Pour 1 cup crushed graham cracker into the ice cream maker the last few minutes of churning. Once graham crackers are folded into the ice cream, stop the machine from churning.
