When you need to fix a dish to feed a large group, this is a great one. This is such an easy recipe but tastes like you have spent all day "slaving" over the stove.

2 can(s) (55 oz each) baked beans
1 lb (1 ring) fully cooked smoked sausage, sliced
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 slow cooker cooking bag

Steps:

  • 1. Line slow-cooker with cooking bag.
  • 2. Pour all ingredients into a large bowl and stir well to combine.
  • 3. Pour mixture into prepared slow-cooker. Cook on Low for 4 to 6 hours.

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 lb. smoked sausage, cut in bite-size pieces
2 pkg. (10 ounces each) frozen lima beans
6 cans (1 lb. each) baked beans
6 cans (1 lb. each) kidney beans, drained
1 cup chopped onions
2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Steps:

  • 1.) Cook and drain lima beans according to package directions. Mix, gently but thoroughly, with all remaining ingredients, except sausage. 2.) Stir in sausage. Bake in large casserole or baking pans, uncovered, at 400º for 60-90 mins.

  • Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, mix all ingredients; spoon into ungreased 4-quart casserole.
  • Bake uncovered 45 to 60 minutes or until thoroughly heated and bubbly.
