BUTTERY HONEY SMACKS CRISPS

Number Of Ingredients 6

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups Smacks® unsweetened puffed wheat cereal (divided)

Steps:

1. Stir together flour and salt. Set aside.2. Measure margarine, sugar and vanilla into mixing bowl, beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients, mix until combined. Stir in 2 cups of the cereal.3. Press dough evenly into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch baking pan. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cereal evenly over top, pressing into dough.4. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. While still warm, cut into squares. Cool completely.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon water
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 1/3 cups Smacks® sweetened puffed wheat cereal

Steps:

1. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt in small mixing bowl. Set aside.2. In medium mixing bowl, stir together margarine, granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.3. Add vanilla, egg, and water. Beat well. Blend in dry ingredients. Stir in walnuts.4. Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Press KELLOGG'S SMACKS cereal into batter.5. Bake at 375°F for 15 to 18 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.
