SLOW-COOKER SMOKY SNACK MIX



Slow-Cooker Smoky Snack Mix image

Give a surprising--and pleasing--new taste to traditional nuts-and-cereal snack mix with a few drops of liquid smoke.

4 cups Corn Chex™ Cereal
3 cups whole almonds
1 (10 to 12-oz.) pkg. oyster crackers
1 (9.5 to 10-oz.) pkg. bite-sized cheese crackers
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons liquid smoke
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Steps:

  • In 6-quart slow cooker, combine cereal, almonds, oyster crackers and cheese crackers. In small bowl, combine all remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture; toss to coat.
  • Cook, uncovered, on High setting for 2 1/2 hours, stirring thoroughly every 30 minutes.
  • To serve warm, unplug slow cooker. Serve with large spoon.
