These Slow Cooker ribs are going to melt in your mouth and fall off the bone! They are cooked low and slow so they are perfectly tender and then covered in a sauce that's absolutely to die for!

4 pounds pork baby back ribs
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 cups Homemade BBQ Sauce (or Store Bought)

Steps:

  • Prepare your ribs by removing the membrane and patting dry with a paper towel.
  • Prepare the rub by combining brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Rub evenly on top of the ribs.
  • Cut the ribs in half. Add half of the rack of the ribs into the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour half of the sauce on top and layer with the other rack with remaining sauce. You can also wrap the ribs around the slow cooker if the top will fit on.
  • Cook the ribs on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the ribs and set on a baking sheet. Pour the sauce on the top. Cook for 10 minutes until the tops get crispy. Brush with additional sauce if needed.

Give pork ribs an Asian makeover with this tasty sticky hoisin pork recipe. Put it in the slow cooker and come back later for a delicious and tender feast of ribs. Serve with coconut rice and steamed broccoli.

3 ¼ pounds pork ribs
1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 cup hoisin sauce
1 cup white sugar
½ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup white wine
2 tablespoons tomato paste
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons Asian chili-garlic sauce
½ teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread pork ribs on a baking sheet; season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
  • Whisk hoisin sauce, sugar, soy sauce, white wine, tomato paste, garlic, chili-garlic sauce, and five-spice powder together in a bowl.
  • Grease a slow cooker insert with cooking spray. Transfer pork ribs to the pot. Cover evenly with hoisin sauce mixture.
  • Cook on Low, stirring halfway through, until pork ribs are tender, about 8 hours.

1 ½ cup ketchup
3 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp onion flakes
2 Tbsp cider vinegar
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp hot chili sauce
1 bay leaf
½ cup water
½ cup light beer (can be non-alcoholic)
3 lb(s) (1350g) lean pork or beef ribs.
1 ½ cup basmati rice
3 cup water
5 cup frozen broccoli florettes ( 450 g)
butter (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix the following together in a large bowl or container: ketchup, brown sugar, onion flakes, cider vinegar, Worcestershire, chili powder, hot chili sauce, bay leaf, water and light beer.
  • Slice ribs into strips and submerge in sauce in slow cooker. Leave overnight in fridge. In the morning, return center pot with cover to the outer crock and set on low heat.
  • When you get home for supper, combine rice and water in a large microwave-safe pot or casserole dish. Cover and microwave at high for 10 minutes, then medium 10 minutes. Remove from microwave and let stand.
  • Rinse broccoli in colander. Place in a microwave-safe pot with 2 tablespoons water and a little butter if desired. Cover. Microwave at high for 5 minutes, and let stand.
