- Place pork shoulder and chicken broth in a slow cooker.
- Cook on Low for 5 to 7 hours. Drain all the liquid from the slow cooker and shred pork with fork. Mix barbeque sauce, onion, and pineapple into shredded pork. Continue cooking 1 to 1 1/2 hours more.

SLOW COOKER HAWAIIAN-STYLE PULLED PORK
This slow cooker pulled pork has a sweet twist! Serve it over rice with veggies, or on a bun with coleslaw.

Steps:
- Pour pineapple chunks and juice in a bowl; add brown sugar, soy sauce, onion, garlic, pepper flakes, ginger, and black pepper and stir to combine.
- Cut pork butt in quarters and place in a slow cooker. Pour pineapple mixture over top.
- Cover and cook on Low until pork is tender and can be easily pulled apart with a fork, 6 to 8 hours.
- Shred pork in the juices and serve.

- Add pork roast to a 4-6 quart slow cooker. Pour water over and sprinkle with seasoning salt. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
- Just before pork roast is done (or make in advance and keep in the fridge), make the sauce. Add pineapple juice, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, red pepper flakes, onion powder and salt to a large pot and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until slightly thickened. Combine equal parts water and corn starch and gradually add to the sauce, whisking constantly, until desired thickness is reached. Keep in mind it will thicken as it cools!

- Heat oil over medium-high heat in large, deep skillet or Dutch oven. Add pork and brown on all sides.
- Add onion, pineapple juice, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, garlic, salt, ground paprika and black pepper to a 5-6 quart slow cooker. Place browned pork on top. Spoon some sauce from bottom and pour all over meat.
- Once cooking time is up, remove pork from crock (do not discard cooking liquid!). Shred pork with two forks on a large chopping board, then add back to crock with liquid.
