2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (6 oz)
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In 12-inch skillet, cook sausage, onions, mushrooms and garlic over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink; drain.
  • Spoon sausage mixture into cooker.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 9 hours.

1 lb pork sausages (meat removed from the casings and roughly crumbled)
1 onion (finely diced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
3 sticks celery (diced)
2 large carrots (diced)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 (14.5oz) cans diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
salt and pepper (to taste)
1 cup peas (thawed from frozen)
parmesan cheese (for serving)

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients except for the peas to a slow cooker (4-5 quart works best). Stir around well and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. Remove the lid and continue cooking for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened to your liking. Stir in the peas and serve hot over pasta topped with Parmesan cheese.

1 cup finely chopped onions
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 ounce size) crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 ounce size) tomato sauce
1 can (12 ounce size) tomato paste
24 ounces uncooked spaghetti pasta

Steps:

  • In 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker, combine all ingredients except spaghetti; mix well. Cover; cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours. Skim and discard fat, if desired. About 30 minutes before serving, cook spaghetti to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain. Serve sauce over spaghetti.

1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style stewed tomatoes
¼ teaspoon dried thyme leaves

½ teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon white sugar

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onions and Italian sausage until the sausage is browned, about 10 minutes. Transfer the sausage and onions to a slow cooker.
