Steps:
- Start by browning the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain off the fat.
- Add in the green peppers and onions. Stir, and then add 1 cup water, the ketchup and garlic. Stir it around to combine, and then add the brown sugar, chili powder, dry mustard, red pepper flakes, and hot sauce, Worcestershire, salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine, and then cover and simmer over medium-low heat, about 20 minutes.
- To serve, spread the rolls with the butter and brown them on a griddle or in a skillet. Spoon a good amount of the meat mixture onto the bottom roll, and then top with the other half. Serve with chips, salad or just enjoy it by itself.
SUPER SLOW SLOPPY JOES
This sloppy Joe recipe has a little kick to it. We loved it the way it is posted but you might want to cut back on the spices if you don't like food with a kick to it. I purchased a Women's Day Magazine entitled Slow Cooking and I have been posted several recipes from this magazine. I have to say not one of the recipes didn't get a FANTASTIC! rating.

- Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat in two batches, stirring to break up clumps of meat. Drain and discard fat.
- In slow cooker, combine ketchup, bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and chili powder. Stir in beef mixture.
- Cover; cook on Low 6 to 8 hours. Spoon onto hamburger buns.

- In a large skillet cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown.
- Drain off fat.
- In a medium bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients listed.
- Stir in meat mixture.
- Place in crock pot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Spoon into toasted buns.
