This Italian Shrimp Bake with Pasta couldn't get any easier and could be on your table in as little as 20 minutes! I'm talking succulent buttery shrimp in a savory lemon butter sauce served over a bed of pasta. Perfect with some crusty bread for dunking in that yummy sauce!

1/2 cup butter (unsalted, melted)
2 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 ounce Italian Dressing Mix (1 pkg (about 2 tbsp))
1 pound large shrimp (uncooked, shells removed)
12 ounce dry pasta (such as spaghetti or fettuccine)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
  • In a baking dish, whisk together the butter, lemon juice, Italian seasoning and Italian Dressing Mix.
  • Add shrimp and stir well to make sure the shrimp is fully coated.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes until the shrimp turns pink.
  • Meanwhile cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  • Serve the shrimp and the buttery sauce over the pasta and garnish with parsley.

1 pound angel hair pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 lemon, juiced, plus 1/2 lemon, zested
1/2 cup dry white wine
5 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup chopped parsley leaves

Steps:

  • Add the pasta to a large pot of boiling salted water, over medium heat, and cook until al dente.
  • Meanwhile, heat a large 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil. Once shimmering and hot, add the shrimp and saute until just cooked through, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove to a plate and reserve. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, then saute for until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the lemon juice and white wine and raise the heat to high. Let the liquid reduce for 2 to 3 minutes. Whisk in the butter, add a ladleful of the pasta cooking water and return the shrimp. Remove from the heat.
  • Drain the pasta in a colander, and add it to the skillet along with the chopped parsley and toss. Add the lemon zest and adjust the seasonings with salt and pepper, to taste. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately.

1/2 lb angel hair pasta
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined (can be cooked or uncooked, see steps for instructions for each)
2 teaspoons garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup chicken broth (can substitute half with white wine to increase flavor)
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon lemon peel, grated fresh
1/4 cup lemon juice, squeezed fresh
1/2 cup Italian parsley, chopped
1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions and drain.
  • While pasta cooks, heat one tablespoon of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, shrimp (if using uncooked shrimp), and 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper. Saute two minutes or until shrimp are barely pink and/or garlic is soft.
  • Add broth and crushed red pepper. Increase heat to high.
  • Add cooked shrimp (if not using uncooked shrimp in step 2).
  • Cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes (just one minute if you used uncooked shrimp earlier), until shrimp are warmed through.
  • Stir in lemon peel and juice.
  • Put the pasta in a serving bowl, add the remaining tablespoon olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
  • Add the shrimp mixture, parsley, and cheese (gradually so as not to clump up the cheese). Toss to mix and serve immediately.

1/2 c shredded, swiss cheese
1/3 c feta cheese
1 tsp each - dried basil & dried oregano
1/3 c chopped, fresh parsley
8 oz angel hair pasta - cooked just until al dente
16 oz thick & chunky salsa
1 lb medium - peeled and deveined shrimp
1/2 - 2/3 c shredded, monterey jack cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a 12 x 8 inch pan with the tablespoon of butter. In a bowl, combine the eggs, cream, yogurt, Swiss cheese, Feta cheese, parsley, oregano and basil, mix well. Spread half the pasta in bottom of pan. Cover with salsa. Spread with half the shrimp.
