1 package (16 ounces) penne pasta
1 large red onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 pound uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons seafood seasoning
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon Louisiana-style hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, saute onion in butter and oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Sprinkle shrimp with seafood seasoning; add to pan., Stir in the cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, hot sauce and pepper. Drain pasta, reserving 3/4 cup cooking liquid. Add reserved cooking liquid to pan. Cook and stir for 6-8 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Add pasta and toss to coat.

1 1/4 cups uncooked orzo or rosamarina pasta (8 oz)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
2 stalks celery, thinly sliced (1 cup)
2 small yellow or green bell peppers or 1 of each, chopped (1 cup)
3 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic diced tomatoes, undrained
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 lb uncooked medium shrimp (thawed if frozen), peeled (tail shells removed), deveined

Steps:

  • Cook and drain orzo as directed on package.
  • Meanwhile, in 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook onion and celery in oil 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until vegetables begin to soften. Add bell peppers; cook 2 to 3 minutes. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds or until fragrant.
  • Stir in tomatoes and Cajun seasoning. Heat to boiling. Add shrimp. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until shrimp are pink and vegetables are crisp-tender.
  • To serve, spoon 3/4 cup orzo into each of 4 shallow bowls; top each with 1 1/2 cups shrimp mixture. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
12 ounces uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 teaspoons Creole seasoning (such as Tony Chachere's®)

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups half-and-half
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 tablespoon Creole mustard

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes.
  • While macaroni is cooking, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp; sprinkle with Creole seasoning. Cook, stirring continually, for 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook until shrimp is pink, about 2 minutes. Turn off heat.
  • Drain macaroni and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking; set aside. Return the pasta pot to the stove and melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk until dissolved, about 2 minutes. Add half-and-half; heat for 3 minutes.
  • Whisk in cheeses until melted, about 5 minutes. Add mustard; cook for 2 minutes. Turn off heat.
  • Add reserved macaroni and shrimp. Stir until heated through. Serve immediately.

2 (8 ounce) packages angel hair pasta
7 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
hot pepper sauce, to taste
jalapeno pepper sauce, to taste
½ lemon, juiced
½ teaspoon fines herbs
1 bay leaf
½ teaspoon dried thyme
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 ¼ pounds large shrimp - peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until done. Drain.
  • Meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan over very low heat. Add Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauces to taste; mix well. Stir in lemon juice, herb mix, bay leaf, and thyme. Keep warm, but do not simmer.
  • Heat oil in large skillet. Saute shrimp in oil for 3 to 4 minutes, or just until shrimp turn pink. Pour off all but 1 tablespoon liquid from skillet. Remove and discard bay leaf. Add butter sauce, and stir well. Stir in parsley. Serve over angel hair pasta.

1 lb. fresh gulf shrimp (peeled, deveined)
2 tablespoons Creole seasoning
1 tablespoon smoky paprika
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons oil
½ large onion (chopped (about ½ cup))
½ large bell pepper (chopped (about ½ cup))
2 stalks celery (chopped)
28 ounces stewed tomatoes
½ cup water
2 bay leaves
¾ lb. pasta (spaghetti, linguine, angel hair)

Steps:

  • Peel and devein shrimp; rinse and pat dry with paper towel
  • Sprinkle one tablespoon of Creole seasoning over shrimp; set aside
  • In a large stockpot, add oil, chopped onions, celery and bell peppers; cook for 5-8 minutes, or until onions become translucent; add garlic to mixture; combine well
  • Add tomatoes, water, paprika and bay leaves to stockpot; bring to boil
  • Using a potato masher, mash down the tomatoes; reduce heat to medium low, cover and allow to cook for 10-15 minutes or until tomatoes begin to thicken
  • In a separate pan, bring water to boil for pasta
  • Add seasoned shrimp to tomato mixture; cover;
  • Continue to cook pasta according to directions; drain pasta and plate
  • Spoon shrimp and Creole sauce over cooked pasta; garnish with parsley and serve

2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 medium green bell pepper (seeds and membrane removed finely chopped)
2-3 stalks (ribs) celery (you want about the same amount as green bell pepper)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (or to taste)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 bay leaf
1 can (15-ounce) tomato sauce
1 cup water (approximately to rinse out the can)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 pound large shrimp (16-20 count, peeled and deveined, tail removed)
Tabasco sauce (to taste)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley plus sprigs for garnish
Lemon wedges
Cooked rice (for serving)

Steps:

  • Heat oil and butter over medium-high heat in a skillet or saute pan. Add the onion, pepper and celery.
  • Reduce heat to medium and cook approximately 10-12 minutes or until vegetables are very soft, adjusting heat as necessary so vegetables don't burn.
  • Add the garlic, Cajun seasoning, thyme, cayenne pepper and bay leaf. Stir briefly.
  • Add the tomato sauce, water and Worcestershire.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered 8-10 minutes or until sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the shrimp and cook 1-2 minutes or until just firm.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon whole butter
1 small diced onion
1 red bell pepper cored and diced
1 green bell pepper, cored and diced
3 cloves minced garlic
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 (28-ounce) cans whole tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
Hot pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce, to taste
1 tablespoon sugar (to take the acidity off the tomatoes)
Salt, to taste
2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon butter
Splash white wine
Chopped scallions
Pinch chopped parsley
Pinch cayenne
Pinch paprika
Sliced scallions and lemon wedges, for garnish

Steps:

  • Get the pan hot over a medium high flame, saute all ingredients, except flour, tomato paste and tomatoes, in the olive oil and butter until they begin to wilt. Add flour and tomato paste. Season with oregano, thyme, parsley. cayenne pepper, white pepper and black pepper.
  • Saute all that until it begins to brown. After 5 minutes when it's quite brown, add the tomatoes. Stir in hot pepper sauce and Worcestershire, to taste. Add sugar and salt. Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Shrimp: In a pan over medium heat, saute shrimp in 1 tablespoon of whole butter. While the shrimp is cooking, splash it with white wine. Then add to taste, some chopped scallions, a pinch of parsley and a bit of cayenne pepper and paprika.
  • After the shrimp is almost ready, add it to the sauce for 3 to 4 minutes. so the Creole flavor cooks into the shrimp. Prepare the serving plates with cooked rice. Ladle the shrimp and Creole sauce into the rice beds, making sure there is lots of sauce. (Creole dishes feature "Lots of Gravy"). Garnish with sliced scallions (the green parts) for color and lemon wedges.
