Easy 5 Minute Cajun Shrimp image

Cajun shrimp that is insanely delicious and only takes 5 minutes to make is the kind of dinner that dreams are made of! This recipe will knock your socks off and it will be something that the whole family will go crazy over!

2 Tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 Tablespoons Cajun Seasoning

Steps:

  • In a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat add the butter and melt. Add in the garlic.
  • Add in the shrimp and cajun seasoning and toss in the butter to coat.
  • Cook for 3-5 minutes or until shrimp is opaque and cooked throughout.

1 teaspoon paprika
¾ teaspoon dried thyme
¾ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste
1 ½ pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Combine paprika, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a sealable plastic bag; shake to mix. Add shrimp and shake to coat.
  • Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Cook and stir shrimp in hot oil until they are bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, about 4 minutes.

1 lb butter
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons fresh basil, chopped
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons fresh oregano, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf, crumbled
1/2 cup black pepper, finely ground
salt
4 lbs raw shrimp in shells

Steps:

  • The shrimp should be of a size to number 30-35 per pound.
  • Melt the Butter in a large deep-sided frying pan or iron skillet over low heat.
  • When melted, raise the heat, and add the remaining ingredients except the shrimp.
  • Cook, stirring often, until browned to a rich mahogany color, about 10 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp, stir- ring and turning to coat well with the seasoned Butter.
  • Cook until the shrimp have turned a rich deep pink, about 10 minutes.Serve the shrimp in their shells, peeling them at the table.

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over low heat; stir in all the ingredients except the shrimp and cook for about 20 minutes.
  • Increase the heat to medium and stir in the shrimp and cook until opaque, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Serve with French bread.
