- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Mix flour, nuts, sugar and butter; press onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Bake 20 min. or until lightly browned. Cool.
- Whisk cream cheese and 2 Tbsp. milk in large bowl until blended. Stir in half the COOL WHIP; spread onto crust.
- Beat pudding mixes and 3-1/2 cups milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Cover with remaining COOL WHIP before serving.

Steps:
- 1. Combine butter, flour and nuts or graham cracker crumbs. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool.
- 2. Blend together cream cheese and powdered sugar then mix in 1/2 container of cool whip. Spread over crust.
- 3. Make pudding according to package directions. Allow to firm completely and spread over cream cheese mixture.
- 4. Top with remaining cool whip. Garnish with extra chopped nuts or cookie crumbs.
- 5. Chill for at least 5 hours before serving.
STRIPED DELIGHT VINTAGE DESSERT RECIPE (1985)
Steps:
- Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and melted butter.
- Press firmly into bottom of 13- by 9-inch pan.
- Beat cream cheese with sugar and 2 tablespoons milk until smooth.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping.
- Spread over crust.
- Using 3-1/2 cups cold milk, prepare pudding as directed on package.
- Pour over cream cheese layer.

This is my favorite dessert. I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. It has just the right amount of sweetness. The crust gives this the perfect crunch. This is a guaranteed hit at a dinner/party or just at home. This recipe can be easily doubled or halved. Everyone will want seconds so be sure to make copies of this recipe or you may end up making it for all future dinners. Enjoy!

- For Crust: combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter.

- Chill 15 minutes.

- Prepare instant pudding and pie filling mixes as directed on package, using 3 1/2 cups milk.

Steps:
- Combine flour, butter, 1 cup of pecans and salt then press into the bottom of a 13x9 baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely.
- Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Fold in half of the Cool Whip then mix until combined. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly onto crust.
- Mix pudding mixes and milk with an electric mixer until combined then mix on medium speed for two minutes. Spread chocolate mixture evenly onto cream cheese layer.
- Spread remaining Cool Whip onto chocolate layer then sprinkle with remaining chopped pecans.
SHORTBREAD
This is a compilation of several Shortbread recipes I have from British cookbooks. I have been to England three times and REAL shortbread is a favorite. It should use real butter and not be TOO sweet.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Line a baking sheet with greaseproof (parchment) paper. Sift the flour and rice flour into a medium mixing bowl. Add the sugar and mix.
- Cut butter into pieces and rub into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture begins to bind together. Knead into soft dough.
- Roll the dough into an 8 inch round (or for exact round, mold it in an 8 inch cake pan). Place on baking sheet. Using a fork, prick top and make tine marks along edge. Using a table knife, score top with wedge marks. (This is where it will break when cooled)
- Bake 45 minutes or until pale golden in color. Sprinkle a little superfine sugar over top and cool on baking sheet. Cut into wedges. Keeps for weeks in airtight tin.
