A delicious ice cream float twist on the classic Shirley Temple drink. The Shirley Temple Float is not only yummy to drink, it's so pretty, too! Vanilla ice cream, lemon lime soda, grenadine, whipped cream and maraschino cherries, will bring a smile to kids of all ages!

Ingredients

1/2 can Lemon Lime Soda (like Sprite or 7Up)
1-2 Maraschino Cherries
1 1/2 Tablespoons Grenadine Syrup
3 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
Whipped Cream for garnish

Steps:

Press ice cream into a pint-sized glass.
Pour soda over the ice cream.
Drizzle grenadine over the top.
Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Ingredients

8-10 ounces lemon-lime flavored soda, well chilled (I used Sprite)
1-2 tablespoons grenadine syrup
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
Whipped cream or whipped topping (I used canned Reddi Whip)
1 maraschino cherry w/ stem

Steps:

To make the Shirley Temple drink, pour a glass or drinking jar about 1/2 full of the cold soda then stir in 1 tablespoon (or more) of the syrup. To make the float, drop 2 scoops ice cream into the Shirley Temple and stir a few times to partially blend. Top with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve immediately.
