3 cups Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed Potatoes
2 (15 ounce) cans cut green beans
1 (10 1/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • brown ground beef in skillet.
  • combine browned beef with soup and green beans and place in baking dish.
  • layer potatoes on top of beef/bean mixture.
  • bake for 30-45 minutes or until bubbly.
  • top with shredded cheese and melt in oven before serving.

1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion, quartered
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed condensed cream of mushroom & garlic soup
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
salt and pepper
3 cups refrigerated mashed potatoes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a heavy skillet cook ground beef and onions until beef is brown and onion is tender. Drain well.
  • Stir in vegetables and soup and cook until hot, about 4 minutes, then add marjoram, salt and pepper.
  • Place in 9-inch pie plate. Spoon mashed potatoes over hot meat mixture.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until bubbly.

2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 large garlic, minced
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
19 ounces stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 cups mixed vegetables, frozen
3 cups hash browns, frozen
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 pinch salt and pepper
1 egg, beated

Steps:

  • In skillet heat oil over medium heat; cook onion and garlic, stirring for 3 minutes. Add beef, chili powder, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring to break up meat for 5 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, breaking up further with spoon. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes or until thickened. Stir in vegetables. Spoon into greased 10" pie plate.
  • Topping: In a bowl, toss together potatoes, cheese, salt and pepper. Stir in egg and combine well. Spoon evenly over meat mixture.
  • Bake in 400°F oven for 30 minutes. Broil for about 3 minutes or until topping is golden.

2 lbs ground beef
1 (15 ounce) can peas and carrots
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil and oregano
1 (20 ounce) bag Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed Potatoes
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In sauté pan brown ground beef until cooked through and no longer pink. Drain liquid off Peas and Carrots. Stir in Peas and Carrots and Tomatoes mix well. Pour into 2 qt baking dish. In microwavable dish pour mashed potatoes and microwave until slightly warm and pliable, about 3 minutes. Carefully spoon and smear mashed potatoes over beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes until potatoes are golden brown and cheese has melted.

4 thin rolling steaks
16 ounces beef gravy
15 ounces peas and carrots, medley
2 cups Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed Potatoes
8 ounces cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Drain canned peas and carrots.
  • In a bowl Mix Mashed Potatoes with cheese, peas and carrots.
  • Spoon veggie mixture onto each thin rolling steak.
  • Roll up the steaks and secure with toothpicks.
  • In a non-stick frying pan brown the rolling steaks on each side approximately 1 minute per side.
  • Once the rolling steaks are browned on each side pour the jar of brown gravy on top and let cook until hot and bubbly 15 minutes.

After my son came home telling me about his friends mom's Shepherd's Pie I set out to create a simple yet tasty alternative and this is what I came up with. We are a "meat & potatoes" kind of family and my kids love it!

1 (24 ounce) bag Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed Potatoes
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups mild cheddar cheese, grated
2 (8 ounce) cans beef consomme or 2 (8 ounce) cans beef broth
2 tablespoons self rising flour

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef over medium heat and season as desired. Drain, return to pan at medium high heat and add 2 tablespoons flour. Stir until you no longer see the flour. Add 2 cans beef consume and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 5 minutes to thicken, stirring often.
  • Pour beef mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 pan and top with shredded cheese. Spread Simply Potatoes Mashed Potatoes over cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.
  • Option: Top with Pillsbury Cresent Rolls before baking for a more traditional Shepherd's Pie.

2 -3 lbs ground beef (85% lean preferred)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
16 ounces frozen mixed vegetables
24 ounces Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed Potatoes
1 tablespoon butter

Steps:

  • Saute ground beef until fully cooked. Cook frozen mixed vegetables as directed. Mix together with butter and Worcestershire sauce. Place in pie plate (glass or foil) and top with Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed potatoes.
  • Place in oven and cook at 375F for 20 - 25 minutes until heated through and potatoes are lightly browned.
  • Serve with a salad for a complete meal.

2/3 cup chopped white pearl onion
1 (12 ounce) jar savory beef gravy
1 (24 ounce) package Simply Potatoes Traditional Mashed Potatoes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray a 3-quart casserole dish with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine beef, carrots, onions and gravy; fold to combine all ingredients well.Turn into prepared casserole dish.
  • Evenly spoon mashed potatoes on top of all ingredients in casserole dish.

1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 (16 ounce) packet frozen mixed vegetables
1 (12 ounce) jar beef gravy

Steps:

  • Brown the ground beef and pour off excess fat. Season as necessary. Add the jar of gravy and the mixed vegetables. Pour into an ovenproof dish. Meanwhile, mix the shredded hash browns with half of the cheese and season as necessary. Place on top of the beef mixture and top with the remaining cheese. Bake for 45 - 55 mins, until the top is crispy and golden brown. DELICIOUS!
