This is the best beef marinade I have ever used. Everyone wants the recipe. My daughter always requests this.

1 cup vegetable oil
¾ cup soy sauce
½ cup lemon juice
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Whisk vegetable oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.

This meat marinade has got to be the easiest, best tasting thing I've ever done to inexpensive cuts of beef, pork, or venison. As a newlywed, we cut all corners, but thanks to this recipe, not on taste!

½ cup olive oil
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons prepared mustard
⅔ cup lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
1 dash onion powder

Steps:

  • Use a flat container large enough to hold meat in a single layer. Combine oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and lemon juice. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Place meat in the marinade and turn to coat both sides.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, shaking or turning meat occasionally.

¼ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon seasoned salt
½ teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning
4 fluid ounces lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
2 pounds beef sirloin steak, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
2 green bell peppers, cut into 2 inch pieces
skewers
½ pound fresh mushrooms, stems removed
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 fresh pineapple - peeled, cored and cubed

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, light brown sugar, distilled white vinegar, garlic powder, seasoned salt, garlic pepper seasoning, and lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage. Reserve about 1/2 cup of this marinade for basting. Place steak in a large resealable plastic bag. Cover with the remaining marinade, and seal. Refrigerate for 8 hours, or overnight.
  • Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Add green peppers, and cook for 1 minute, just to blanch. Drain, and set aside.
  • Preheat grill for high heat. Thread steak, green peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and pineapple onto skewers in an alternating fashion. Discard marinade and the bag.
  • Lightly oil the grill grate. Cook kabobs on the prepared grill for 10 minutes, or to desired doneness. Baste frequently with reserved marinade during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

That's right! I wanted a marinade for raw, semi-peeled veggies, so I worked on it for a few weeks, trying this and that, and I'm very pleased with the final result. This makes a very delicious and different sort of side dish for supper. So far, my friends and family who have tried these veggies have universally opted for second helpings. Potatoes carrots, endive, onions, mushrooms, cauliflower florets, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli all work well. Prep time includes marinating time. I hope you like it too!

1/2 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 cup malt vinegar (or cider vinegar)
1 teaspoon dried sweet basil leaves
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder, tomato-type if possible (Mexican isle at store)
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 lbs vegetables, raw, cut into large chunks (your choice)

Steps:

  • Mix together all ingredients except vegetables.
  • Pour the dry, large (1 1/2" - 2") vegetable chunks into a large mixing bowl and pour the marinade over them. Blend and allow the veggies to marinate for one hour at room temperature.
  • Lay out the vegetables (with whatever marinade tags along with them) in a large casserole dish and bake in a pre-heated 375-degree F. oven for 45 minutes.

Even the boyfriend forgoes the streak sauce when I make this. You can marinade a short few hours but if you have the 24 hours this is the marinade you've been waiting for!

  • Mix all ingrediants well. Soak meat in marinade for 3-24 hours. If you have the 24 hours available I really recomend using that extra time. This is fabulous! We grilled ours and the steaks were flavorful tender and gone in less than five minutes.
