1 1/2 lbs ground beef
3 tablespoons onions, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 cup canned mushroom, sliced (optional)
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/4 cup mayonnaise
6 hamburger buns
lettuce leaf (optional)
tomatoes, slices (optional)

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine beef, onion, garlic salt and pepper.
  • Mix well.
  • Shape into 6 patties 3/4 inch thick.
  • In a small bowl, combine the cheese, mushrooms, bacon and mayo.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Grill burgers turning only once.
  • During the last 3 minutes, spoon 1/4 cup of the cheese mixture onto each burger.

1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup canned sliced mushrooms
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup mayonnaise
6 hamburger buns, split
Lettuce leaves and tomato slices, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion, garlic salt and pepper. Shape into six patties, 3/4 in. thick. In a small bowl, combine the cheese, mushrooms, bacon and mayonnaise; chill. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160°. During the last 3 minutes, spoon 1/4 cup of the cheese mixture onto each burger. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato if desired. Yield: 6 servings.

3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Optional toppings: Lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, sliced onion, bacon and mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Shape ground beef into four 3/4-in.-thick patties. Just before grilling, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat until a thermometer reads 160°, 5-7 minutes on each side. Top bun bottoms with burgers. If desired, serve with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon and mayonnaise.

2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon steak sauce
1/4 teaspoon cider vinegar
1 pound ground beef
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
8 cooked bacon strips
Optional toppings: lettuce leaves and tomato, onion and pickle slices

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 3 in. from the heat for 4-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. Top with cheese. Grill 1 minute longer or until cheese is melted. Serve on buns with bacon and toppings of your choice.
