WARM ORANGE SPICE DRINK FOR COLD & FLU
I created this drink when I felt a bad cold coming on, and wanted a tasty way to keep it at bay. Oranges provide vitamin C, honey soothes sore throats, cinnamon helps relive nausea, clove quells coughs, and ginger root aids in clearing the sinuses. Also a delicious, warming beverage for those chilly winter days.

WHISKEY COUGH CURE
Here it is... I promised I'd post it. My grandmother's sure-fire mix to fix that tickley cough in the back of your throat or that deep wheezy cough that rattles and hurts. Don't worry about the gettin drunk part; you won't be using that much because this is good. Keep in mind these measurements are VERY approximate. HOWEVER, do keep the ratio's kinda the same.

Steps:
- In a small fruit jar, place the whiskey and honey.
- Crush the peppermints well (this just helps them dissolve) and toss in the jar. If you need it, add the sugar, but if you don't need it, don't add it.
- Let sit and the peppermints dissolve.
- When you need it, take a spoonful; tablespoon if it's very bad, teaspoon if it's light. It's alright to give this to children, just make it more diluted with water.
SWIMMER'S EAR DROPS
Hi, I am a pediatrician & this is what I recommend to my patients. The alcohol helps dry the canal and the vinegar acidifies it which inhibits bacterial growth. Cheap and easy!

CHICK-PEA CHILI SOUP (MOCK MENUDO) HANGOVER CURE
A quick and satisfying recipe, best served when one needs to recover from a late night! Recipe from the book WHAT TO COOK When You Think There's Nothing in the House to Eat. By Arthur Schwartz. Menudo is a legendary tripe soup/stew of Mexico and the Southwest United States, where the joints that serve it often don't open until midnight. Menudo can, its devotees say prevent a hangover. Tripe soup eaters all over the world claim this, so it must work. Experts on such nutritional/medical matters explain that its the protein from the tripe and the liquid of the soup medium that stave off the side effects of overindulgence. Theoretically, high-protein chick-peas in soup should have a similar effect.
