SAVORY BONELESS PORK CHOPS

Pan fried boneless pork chops are cooked to crispy perfection in this savory meal!

Ingredients:
5 thin, boneless pork chops
1 large egg
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt and ground pepper
1 cup italian bread crumbs
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese
Peanut oil, for frying
Directions:

Combine your egg, Dijon mustard, oregano, cayenne, and salt and pepper in a dish. Beat the egg and seasonings together until well mixed.
(I doubled the recipe for everything in the pics since I was making 10 chops!)

Coat chops on both sides in the egg mixture

Once they are well coated with crumb mixture on both sides, place in frying pan with warmed up peanut oil. You know the oil is ready for frying when you sprinkle a tiny bit of water in and it sizzles.

Steps:

Drop the chops in a casserole dish and top with a tomato-based sauce and an array of spices. Throw it in the oven, forget about it for a couple hours, and voila, easiest lamb chops ever.

2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 teaspoons curry powder

1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup water

Steps:

  • Trim fat off chops, then place in a shallow casserole. Mix all other ingredients and pour over chops. Marinate for several hours. Cover dish and bake at 300 degrees F for two hours. Serve hot with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

4 (1 1/4 inch) thick pork chops
4 slices onion
4 slices lemon
¼ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place chops in a 9x13 inch baking dish and top each one with an onion slice and a lemon slice. Add 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon ketchup on top of each pork chop.
  • Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake another 30 minutes or until internal temperature of meat has reached 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). While baking, baste occasionally with pan juices.

4 pork loin chops (bone-in)
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
Cooking spray
¾ cup chicken broth

Steps:

  • Remove any excess fat from chops.
  • Sprinkle both sides of chops generously with salt, pepper and dried Italian seasoning.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Coat the pan with cooking spray and add a small amount of the trimmed fat from the pork chops. You want enough to render about a tablespoon of fat.
  • When the fat has rendered, add the pork chops to the pan.
  • Brown well on both sides.
  • Add the chicken broth and bring up to a boil.
  • Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low.
  • Simmer until chops are done throughout. Approximately 20-25 minutes.
  • Remove the pork chops from the pan. Increase the heat to bring the liquid to a boil. Continue cooking until reduced to a thin sauce. Spoon the pan sauce over the chops and serve.

4 pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
2 apples, sliced thin
¼ cup ketchup
3 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place pork chops in a foil lined 9x9 inch baking dish and season with salt and pepper to taste. Arrange the sliced apples over and around the chops and brush all liberally with the ketchup. Then sprinkle with the brown sugar.
