3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
5 cloves garlic, sliced thin
1 bunch Swiss chard, washed, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large saute pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and saute until pale golden color, about 1 minute. Add Swiss chard and saute until soft, but still crisp, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.;

1/2 teaspoon salt
2 pounds Swiss chard
4 teaspoons melted butter
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice

Steps:

  • Rinse chard; separate stems from leaves. Cut stems into 2-inch pieces; cut leaves crosswise into 1-inch strips. To a saucepan add 2 teaspoons melted butter. Add stems to pan; saute about 5 minutes. Add leaves; cook another 5 minutes. Add remaining 2 teaspoons butter and pepper. Mound in center of serving plate and drizzle with vinegar or lemon juice.

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ small red onion, diced
1 bunch Swiss chard, stems and center ribs cut out and chopped together, leaves coarsely chopped separately
½ cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, or to taste
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 pinch salt to taste

Steps:

  • Melt butter and olive oil together in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the garlic and onion, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the chard stems and the white wine. Simmer until the stems begin to soften, about 5 minutes. Stir in the chard leaves, and cook until wilted. Finally, stir in lemon juice and Parmesan cheese; season to taste with salt if needed.

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup maui onion (Sliced Thin)
2 serrano peppers (Minced)
4 ounces pancetta (Diced)
2 tablespoons minced garlic cloves
2 lbs swiss chard (Chopped)
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh thyme
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest

Steps:

  • In a large saute pan heat olive oil. Saute onions and Serrano peppers until soft. Add pancetta, minced garlic and saute for a minute.
  • Add Swiss chard, salt, black pepper and fresh thyme. Saute until Swiss chard wilts. Add fresh lemon juice and lemon zest.
  • Reseason with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve on warm plates and garnish with lemon wedges.
