BEST EVER EASY SAUSAGE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE RECIPE
This breakfast casserole has a golden brown crescent base, topped with sausage, and a ton of ooey gooey melted cheese. Whether it is for breakfast or brunch you are going to love this easy sausage breakfast casserole recipe!

Steps:
- Preheat oven according to crescent sheet or crescent roll directions.
- Brown sausage and veggies in pan on medium heat.
- Spread and press crescent sheet into 13×9 pan. DO NOT grease or spray pan!
- Bake crescent sheet for 10 minutes.
- Once sausage mixture is finished cooking, add in the cream cheese.
- Allow cream cheese to melt, and mix thoroughly.
- Once crescent sheet is finished baking, add sausage mixture to crescent sheet.
- Top sausage casserole with shredded cheese.
- Place casserole back in oven, and bake for another 5-7 minutes. Or until cheese is melted, and crust is golden.
- Allow the sausage breakfast casserole to rest for about 5 minutes.
- Cut into 12 slices, and garnish with green onions.

- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease the bottom of a 9x11 inch baking dish.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until crumbly and beginning to brown; drain. Stir the cream cheese into the cooked sausage.
- Roll the dough from one can of crescent rolls into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without separating. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. This is a tastey breakfast casserole that can be done in under an hour! You can make it spicy or mild depending on which cheese you decide to use. Or you can mix them and choose the middle ground. For kids, I usually have to choose the mozzarella though. For adults, I sometimes add some green chiles or a seeded jalepeno, chopped very fine. But I really like heat. I also sometimes increase the garlic!

- Brown sausage and garlic in a skillet, stirring until it crumbles; drain grease from skillet.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray. Line the bottom of the pan with crescent roll dough, pinching the perforated seams together.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir sausage, bell pepper, and both onions in the hot skillet until sausage is browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove any extra oil from the pan. Stir in cream cheese and black pepper; cook until cream cheese is melted, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Spread your Crescent Roll dough across the bottom of a greased (I use Pam) 9×13 baking dish. Make sure to press down on the seems so that it's completely covering the dish. Set aside.
- Brown up your sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until it's browned and crumbly.
- Meanwhile, whisk your eggs in a small bowl with milk, chopped green chiles and S&P. Once your sausage is browned, spread it out over your crescent roll layer in the pan. Pour your egg mixture on top of the sausage and sprinkle cheese on top of that.
- At this point, you can cover and refrigerate until you're ready to bake it the next morning or you can go ahead and pop it in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes. The edges will be brown and the center not wobbly when it's done.
