SASSY SALSA

Number Of Ingredients 8

8 tomatoes, diced
1 cup of onion, diced
1 bell pepper, with seeds removed and diced
1/8 cup or small bunch of cilantro, chopped
3 cloves of garlic finely minced
1 jalapeno or serrano pepper, with seeds removed and diced
2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • It's time to add some spice to your life. Nothing goes with chips like a fresh salsa dip. Create your own homemade salsa with the vegetables from your garden. Follow the steps below and serve up some delicious salsa.
  • 1. Combine all ingredients, including the juices, in a bowl.
  • Serve immediately, or refrigerate up to five days

5 garlic cloves, minced
1 green, red, yellow or purple bell pepper
4 large ripe tomatoes, cored, seeded, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 hot peppers (jalapeno or serrano) minced
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
5 green onions, sliced into 1/8" rings
1/4 c olive oil
1/3 c red wine vinegar
green onions, sliced into 1/8" rings
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1-2 Tbsp chili powder
pinch salt

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium mixing bowl with a cover, stir together garlic, peppers, tomatoes, onion, hot peppers, cilantro and green onions.
  • 2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar, lime juice, pepper, chili powder and salt.
  • 3. Pour dressing over vegetables and mix completely.
  • 4. Cover and refrigerate several hours to let flavors meld, then return to room temperature before serving.

1/4 bell pepper
1 bunch fresh cilantro

1/2 lime, juice of
1/2 lime, zest of
1 dash salt
1 dash pepper

Steps:

  • Chop tomatoes, onion, jalapeño pepper, bell pepper, cilantro, and mince garlic.
  • Mix together all ingredients.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
