RACHAEL RAY'S DEVILISH CHILI DOGS

Steps:

• Heat skillet over medium high heat.
• Add olive oil and meat and season with salt and pepper.
• Brown and crumble beef.
• Add Worcestershire, onion, garlic, chili powder, and cook together 5 minute Add tomato sauce and reduce heat to low.
• Meanwhile boil franks in shallow pan to warm through, 5 minute
• Drain water and return pan to medium heat.
• Score casings on dogs.
• Melt butter in skillet and add hot sauce.
• Add dogs to pan, browning and crisping the casings in hot sauce and butter.
• Heat broiler.
• Place dogs in buns and top with chili and cheese.
• Place dogs under broiler and melt cheese.
• Serve immediately.

PICKLED HOT DOGS OR SAUSAGES

Steps:

• Boil all ingredients (including hot dogs) together.
• Put in jar and refrigerate overnight.
• Store in refrigerator.
• Can also use smoked sausages, deer sausages, ring bologna, and other types of pre-cooked smoked meats.
• Also suitable for pickled eggs.
• Serve chunks of pickled hot dogs or sausage with saltine crackers for a snack.

SASHA'S NUKED HOT DOGS (FOR DOGS)

Steps:

• Slice hot dogs into thin lengths. Place on 3 layers of paper towel on a microwave safe plate. Microwave on High for 5 minutes. Remove from microwave let stand for 5 minutes. Return to microwave and cook for a further 5 minutes then remove and allow to cool. The Nuked Hot Dogs are done when they are of a Jerky state when cool. Keep them in the fridge, great for tidbits.
• Notes: Save leftover cheese dogs, bratwurst, smokies, etc. in freezer, slice and make like the recipe says. Don't use ones soaked in beer or spicy ones. Makes good baits, and can be frozen once cooked to keep longer.
