Steps:
- Cook both the broccoli and pasta according to package directions; drain. In a large saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in the water, milk and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened., Reduce heat; stir in cheese until melted. Stir in the broccoli, pasta and sour cream; heat through (do not boil).

SANDY'S HOMEMADE BROCCOLI AND CHEDDAR SOUP
I found many recipes for broccoli Cheddar soup. I changed many of the ingredients in those recipes. This is the recipe I came up with. It's the best one yet. You don't need all the extra ingredients to make it. Just basic ingredients. and it's delicious. I think it tastes just like Panera®.

Steps:
- Melt butter in a stock pot over medium-high heat; add onion and saute until tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Whisk in flour and continue to stir until mixture turns golden brown, about 5 minutes. Slowly add half-and-half to onion mixture, stirring until mixture is smooth. Add chicken broth; season with salt and ground black pepper.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer mixture until thickened, about 10 minutes. Add broccoli, carrot, and celery. Simmer until vegetables are tender yet crisp, about 20 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low. Add Cheddar cheese to soup and cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese melts, about 5 minutes.

Steps:
- Heat olive oil in large saucepan.
- Add onion and saute over medium heat till onions are golden.
- Add chicken (or vegetable for vegetarians) broth and bring to a boil.
- Add salt and noodles.
- Cook uncovered for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in broccoli and garlic powder and cook for another 4 minutes.
- Add milk, cheese and pepper stirring constantly until the cheese is melted.

SANDY'S CHICKEN
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Cut each chicken breast in half horizontally so that you have 6 thin chicken breasts.
- Place chicken in baking dish. The pieces can be touching, but try not to overlap too much.
- Spread soup evenly over chicken.
- Lay cheese slices on top, overlapping so that each piece of chicken is covered with both types of cheese.
- In a bowl, combine stuffing mix and butter. Spread on top of cheese.
- Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with noodles.

- Place bouillon cubes in 3 cups hot water to dissolve to make broth. Sautee onions in butter in 6-quart pot or Dutch oven. Add broth and 3 more cups of water and bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to simmer and add noodles. Cook until noodles are done (about 15 minutes). Add broccoli and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add milk and Velveeta cheese. Simmer until cheese is melted, being sure to stir thoroughly every 5 minutes to prevent burning on bottom. Reduce heat to low and serve hot.
