I don't really know where I got this recipe, but it is the only way we will cook Salmon anymore! Everytime I serve it people rave and beg for the recipe. The cooking times are not exact as I always just watch it depending on the thickness of the salmon steaks, or salmon fillet.

3 -4 salmon steaks or 3 -4 salmon fillets
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons fresh lemon
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients and pour over salmon in a shallow baking dish.
  • Marinade for at least 30 minutes, turning at least once.
  • Broil at 500 degrees for 7-10 minutes on each side.
  • Serve with wild rice and steamed veggies for a delicious healthy meal.

Only three ingredients makes these salmon steaks simple to prepare and so delicious. Prepare ahead, they need to marinate for 1-1/2 hours before grilling, you may also broil these in the oven.

5 -6 salmon steaks
1 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon mustard powder

Steps:

  • In a bowl mix/whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar and mustard powder.
  • Place the salmon steaks in a glass dish (I use an 8x8-inch glass baking dish).
  • Pour the marinade over the salmon.
  • Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for minimum 1-1/2 hours, turning the steaks occasionally.
  • Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on how thick the steaks are.
  • Brushing with marinade as they cook.
  • **NOTE** sprinkle with salt if desired when cooking.

2 fillets salmon
2 oz honey
1 handful sesame seed
½ cup soy sauce
½ lemon, juiced
1 oz ginger, chopped
1 red chili, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 pinch sea salt
sesame seed, to taste
spring onion, to taste
red chili, to taste

Steps:

  • Cut the salmon into bite-size cubes. Set aside.
  • Prepare the marinade by mixing the soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, chilli, garlic, and sea salt together.
  • Mix the salmon into the marinade, cover, and marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  • In a large pan with a little oil, pour in the marinade and add the honey and sesame seeds.
  • Mix together until it starts to bubble and gets thicker/saucier.
  • Add the salmon and fry for a couple of minutes on each side.
  • Take off the heat and garnish with more sesame seeds, spring onion, red chilli, and cocktail sticks.
  • Enjoy!

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
4 salmon steaks (6 ounces each)

Steps:

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first six ingredients. Set aside 1/2 cup for basting and refrigerate. Add salmon to remaining marinade; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1-1/2 hours, turning once. , Drain and discard marinade. Broil 3-4 in. from the heat for 5 minutes. Spoon reserved marinade over fish; turn and broil for 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Spoon marinade over fish.

  • In a small bowl, whisk teriyaki sauce and syrup. Pour 1 cup marinade into a large resealable plastic bag. Add salmon; seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate 15 minutes. ¼ cup sesame oil
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar, or more to taste
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
4 (6 ounce) salmon steaks

Steps:

  • Mix sesame oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame seeds, ground mustard, ginger, and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Set aside 1/2 cup of marinade for basting.
  • Pour remaining marinade into a resealable plastic bag and place salmon into the marinade. Squeeze air out of the bag, seal, and marinate the salmon steaks for at least 1 hour (2 hours for better flavor). Drain and discard used marinade.
