1 cup ice cubes
1 maraschino cherry

Steps:

Combine whiskey, vermouth, and bitters in a cocktail mixing class. Add ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

¼ cup rye whiskey
2 tablespoons sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 maraschino cherry

Steps:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the whiskey, vermouth and bitters. Shake until frosty, about 15 seconds then strain into a Manhattan glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

3 ounces Templeton rye
1/2 ounce Dolin dry vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 thick strip of lemon peel

Steps:

Stir all ingredients except lemon peel with ice in a mixing glass for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe, whose interior has been rubbed with the lemon peel. Twist lemon peel over the drink and use it as a garnish.
