The easiest homemade coleslaw recipe. Shredded white and red cabbage with carrots in a sweet and tangy creamy homemade dressing. This 10-minute recipe will win you over.

3 cups green cabbage (shredded)
2 cups red cabbage (shredded)
1 large carrot (grated or julienned)
1 green onion (finely chopped)
2/3 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp honey
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp lemon juice (*)

Steps:

  • Finely shred white and red cabbage. Grate the carrot. Finely chop green onion.
  • Combine the ingredients for the coleslaw dressing.
  • In a bowl, toss the salad then add dressing and mix to combine.

5 c finely shredded cabbage
2 medium apples
1 small carrot
1 tsp minced onion
1 tsp minced dill or parsley
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp sugar
1/2 c sour cream

Steps:

  • 1. Sprinkle the shredded cabbage with salt and let stand 15 minutes, then scald for 3 minutes. Drain well and dry in a towel.
  • 2. Chop the apples very fine or grate them on a coarse grater. Grate the carrot.
  • 3. Mix all the ingredients together and let stand 30 minutes on ice (or in refrigerator) before serving.

1 bunch fresh dill, chopped
1/4 cup mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Mix together coleslaw mix (or cabbage) and dill in a large bowl.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Mix in mayonnaise, stirring thoroughly.
  • Taste, and adjust salt and mayo accordingly.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving (but, if you are in a pinch, just serve right away).

1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon hot smoked paprika
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 head green cabbage, finely shredded
1 medium carrot, peeled and shredded
6 green onions, green and pale green parts only, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons grated Spanish onion

Steps:

  • Whisk together the ketchup, mayonnaise, vinegar, celery seeds, paprika, and some salt and pepper.
  • Put the cabbage, carrot, green onions and Spanish onions in a large bowl; season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss again. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 8 hours.

  • Put the cabbage, carrot, green onions and grated onion in a large bowl, season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine.
  • Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss again.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and no more than 8 hours.
