Watermelon-Strawberry Martini image

2 medium (1-1/4" dia)s fresh strawberries, diced
1 ½ fluid ounces watermelon vodka
½ fluid ounce sweet vermouth
ice cubes

Steps:

  • Muddle strawberries in a cocktail shaker. Add vodka, sweet vermouth, and ice. Shake for 20 seconds.
  • Strain over a rocks glass filled with ice.

Shake rum and orange liqueur with lime juice and pureed watermelon for a seriously refreshing cocktail.

1 1/3 cups diced seedless watermelon
1/2 cup rum, white or dark
2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur, such as triple sec
Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons)
2 thin lime rounds, for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Puree the watermelon in a blender until very smooth. Pour into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and add the rum, liqueur and lime juice. Shake vigorously and strain into 2 ice-filled cocktail glasses. Garnish each with a lime round if using.
