HONEY GARLIC SLOW COOKER RIBS RECIPE BY TASTY

Honey Garlic Slow Cooker Ribs Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, rack of pork ribs, honey, soy sauce, garlic cloves

Provided by Adam Bianchi

Categories     Dinner

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 ½ lb rack of pork ribs, halved
1 cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
10 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder. Season the ribs evenly with the mixture, making sure to rub it in on all sides.
  • Add the honey, soy sauce, and garlic to a large slow cooker. Transfer the ribs to slow cooker and turn them over in the sauce until coated. Position the ribs so they are standing up, with the meatier side down, and so the meat is against the walls of the slow cooker, with the bone sides facing in. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 7-8 hours. Check after the allotted time to make sure the meat is cooked through and tender.
  • Remove the ribs and transfer to cutting board. Cut between the bones to separate into individual ribs. Serve with additional sauce from the slow cooker, as needed
  • Enjoy!

Provided by Bobby Flay

Categories     main-dish

Time 1h45m

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/3 cup clover honey
3 heaping tablespoons Dijon mustard
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 racks St. Louis Style/Country Style pork ribs (12 ribs each)
4 tablespoons canola oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup soy sauce
4 cups water
2 to 3-inch piece ginger, skin on and sliced

Steps:

  • Combine the vinegar and brown sugar in a small saucepan over high heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved and mixture reduces slightly, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the honey and mustard and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Let cool to room temperature.
  • Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.
  • Brush the pork racks on both sides with canola oil and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the soy sauce, 4 cups of water and the ginger and bring to a boil. Pour the mixture into the bottom of a roasting pan, fitted with a rack, and arrange the ribs on the rack. Wrap the pan with foil and roast until the ribs are tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Remove the ribs from the oven and transfer to baking sheets lined with foil or parchment paper. Turn on the broiler and let heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Brush the ribs heavily on the top side with some of the glaze, put under the broiler and broil until golden brown and a crust has formed. Remove from the oven to a cutting board and brush with more of the glaze. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Arrange the ribs on a serving platter and serve.

BAKED HONEY GARLIC SPARERIBS

Baked Honey Garlic Spareribs image

Succulent pork spareribs are baked with a honey and garlic sauce mixture. Serve this easy rib recipe with baked potatoes or beans and a salad.

Provided by Diana Rattray

Categories     Entree     Appetizer

Time 1h45m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 pounds pork spare ribs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup honey
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic ( finely minced )

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 325 F / 165 C / Gas Mark 3 and line a large baking pan or roasting pan with foil.
  • If it hasn't already been done, the silverskin (aka membrane) needs to be removed from the bone side of the racks of ribs. To do this, ease a butter knife or narrow metal spatula under the skin at one end.
  • Then grasp the loosened skin with a paper towel or cloth towel (the towel will keep your hand from slipping) and pull the skin. It should peel off in one sheet. (If not, use the knife to loosen the opposite end of the membrane and try pulling again.)
  • Cut the ribs into 1-rib pieces or serving size portions.
  • Season the spareribs with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Arrange the ribs in the prepared baking pan.
  • Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until tender.
  • Drain off all of the excess fat and liquids.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the honey, vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 350 F / 180 C / Gas Mark 4. Drizzle or brush the honey and garlic sauce mixture over the spareribs.
  • Continue baking uncovered for 30 minutes, basting frequently. Serve and enjoy.

HONEY ROASTED RIBS RECIPE - (4.4/5)

Honey Roasted Ribs Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by Foodiewife

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 (2 1/2- to 3-pound) racks baby back ribs, trimmed, membranes removed, each rack cut into 3 equal pieces
1 cup honey
5 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
4 scallions, white parts minced, green parts sliced thin
4 garlic cloves, crushed
Kosher salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (can bump this up, if you like more heat)

Steps:

  • Divide ribs between two 1-gallon zipper-lock bags. Whisk honey, soy sauce, vinegar, mustard, scallion whites, garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, and cayenne together in bowl. Divide marinade between bags, seal, and turn to coat ribs evenly with marinade. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours, turning bags occasionally. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 325 degrees. Line rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and set wire rack in sheet. Add enough warm tap water to cover entire bottom of sheet (about 2 cups). Transfer ribs, meaty side up, to prepared wire rack; reserve marinade in refrigerator. Tent ribs loosely with foil and bake for 1¼ hours. Uncover ribs and continue cooking until just tender, about 1 hour longer. Bring reserved marinade to boil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat and cook until thickened to glaze consistency, about 5 minutes. Brush ribs with 1/3 cup glaze, return to oven, and continue to cook until glaze begins to bubble and ribs are brown, 15 to 30 minutes. Transfer ribs to cutting board (leave hot water and sheet in oven to cool), tent loosely with foil, and let rest for 10 minutes. Cut ribs between bones, add to Dutch oven, and toss to coat with remaining glaze. Transfer to platter and sprinkle with scallion greens and ½ teaspoon salt. Serve.

  • Next, preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and put the ribs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Turn and flip the ribs every 10 minutes until all sides are golden brown.
  • About 10 minutes before the ribs come out of the oven, prepare the sauce. Heat the oil in a wok over medium low heat. Add the rock sugar, and let it melt, taking good care not to burn it. Next, add the water, honey, cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce. Turn up the heat slightly to bring the sauce to a low boil, and turn off the heat.
  • Once the ribs are done, coat them in the hot (temperature-wise) sauce while the ribs are still hot. Only when the ribs are straight out of the oven will they properly absorb the sauce and get that coveted sheen. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
