Not sure where I got this recipe, but I've been making it since the 70s!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 box yellow cake mix
1/3 c butter
2 eggs
14 oz eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
8 oz bag, heath bits o'brickle toffee bits
8 oz bag, pecans, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2. In the bowl of your stand mixer using the paddle attachment, pour in the cake mix.
  • 3. Add the butter and egg and whip until smooth.
  • 4. PAM a 13x9 pan.
  • 5. Pat the cake mix, butter, and egg batter into the pan.
  • 6. In a clean bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and one beaten egg.
  • 7. Fold in one-half package of the Bits O'Brickle Toffee Bits.
  • 8. Add one-half package of chopped pecans.
  • 9. Pour this mixture on top of the cake batter.
  • 10. Bake for 25 minutes.
  • 11. Remove from the oven and cut into bars while still warm.

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package almond brickle chips (7-1/2 ounces) or English toffee bits (10 ounces)
3 medium tart apples, cut into chunks

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugars and vanilla. Fold in brickle chips. Serve with apples. Refrigerate any leftovers.

1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup margarine or 1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups almonds, coarsely chopped
1 (6 ounce) package butter brickle, baking pieces

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat 1 cup sugar, powdered sugar, margarine and oil until blended. Add extract and eggs, blending well.
  • Add flours, soda, cream of tartar and salt and mix well. Stir in almonds and brickle. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Shape tbsps. of dough into balls. Roll balls I granulated sugar. Place 4-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • With fork dipped in sugar, flatten each in a crisscross pattern.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 18 minutes or until light and golden brown around edges.
  • Cool one minute and remove from baking sheets. Cool completely on wire racks.

1-1/2 teaspoons plus 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
1 cup crunchy almond butter
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon plus 2 tablespoons water, divided
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate baking chips
1/3 cup chopped almonds, toasted
3/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Grease a 15x10x1-in. pan with 1-1/2 teaspoons butter. Place almond butter in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave, covered, at 50% power 30-60 seconds or until softened, stirring once. In a small bowl, dissolve baking soda in 1 teaspoon water. Set aside almond butter and baking soda mixture., In a large heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and 2 tablespoons water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Using a pastry brush dipped in water, wash down sides of the pan to eliminate sugar crystals. Cook until a candy thermometer reads 240° (soft-ball stage), stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Add remaining butter; cook until candy thermometer reads 300° (hard-crack stage), stirring frequently, about 5 minutes longer. , Remove from heat; stir in the softened almond butter, almond extract and dissolved baking soda. (Candy will foam.) Immediately pour into prepared pan. Spread to 1/4-in. thickness., Sprinkle with chocolate chips; let stand until chocolate begins to melt. Spread evenly; sprinkle with almonds and coconut, pressing slightly to adhere. Cool slightly. Refrigerate 1 hour or until chocolate is set. , Break candy into pieces. Store between layers of waxed paper in an airtight container.

16 ounce(s) sliced almonds
2 stick(s) butter
2/3 cup(s) white karo syrup
2 cup(s) sugar

Steps:

  • Spray/oil 2 jelly roll pans. Spread out chips. Pour almonds over chips. Bring butter, syrup and sugar to a boil. Cook 1 minute longer. Pour over chips/nuts. Bake 45-60 minutes at 250º. Stir every 15 minutes. Let cool.
