3-INGREDIENT HOMEMADE BISCUITS
Trusted for the last 40 years, this easy homemade biscuit recipe requires just 3 ingredients. Whip up a batch of homemade biscuits for a dinner side dish, shortcake-starter, or as the base of a breakfast entree.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and butter. Using a pastry cutter, a fork, or 2 knives, cut in butter until a coarse meal develops and butter is evenly distributed.
- Add milk and stir until a soft dough forms. If the dough is sticky, add more flour 1 tablespoon at a time.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 20 seconds, adding flour if the dough becomes sticky.
- Roll out to 1/2-inch thick and cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter. Press together the uncut dough and continue rolling and cutting biscuits.
- Bake until lightly golden brown on top and fragrant, about 10 to 12 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 450°. In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk; stir just until moistened., Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead gently 8-10 times. Pat dough to 1/2-in. thickness. Cut with a 2-1/2-in. biscuit cutter., Place 1 in. apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, 10-15 minutes. Serve warm.

RICH TEA BISCUITS
Found this recipe in Jean Pare's "Company's Coming" cookbook. I've made baking powder biscuits before, but not with cream of tarter in the recipe.

Steps:
- Put first 5 ingredients in bowl.
- Stir thoroughly.
- Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Pour in milk.
- Stir quickly to combine.
- Dough should be soft.
- Turn out on lightly floured surface.
- Knead gently 8-10 times.
- Roll or pat 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick or half the thickness you want the baked product to be.
- Cut with small round cookie cutter.
- Place on greased cookie sheet close together for soft sides or apart for crisp sides.
- Bake in 450 degrees oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Brushing biscuits with milk before baking will produce a pretty brown top.
- Makes 10.

RICH EASY SUNDAY BISCUITS
These biscuits are delicious on Sunday morning, especially with sausage gravy. I always have buttermilk on hand to make these and my famous pancakes. Buttermilk keeps quite well and if you like these biscuits, you will want to have a quart in your fridge at all times!

- Preheat oven to 390 degrees.
- Stir flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
- Add sour cream and stir to enough to distribute in the flour mixture but without completely blending it inches.
- Add buttermilk and stir just to combine the ingredients.
- Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet and remove from heat.
- Drop dollops of dough into the butter and turn them once so the tops are coated.
- Bake for 23-25 minutes till lightly browned.
