Steps:
- 1. Place the milk and syrup in a blender and blend to mix thoroughly, about 10 seconds.
- 2. Add the ice cream and pulse several times to begin breaking it up.
- 3. With the blender motor off, use a flexible spatula to mash the mixture down onto the blender blade.
- 4. Continue pulsing, stopping, and mashing until the mixture is well blended, thick, and moves easily in the blender jar, roughly 30 to 90 seconds.
- 5. Pour into a chilled glass or glasses, and serve at once.
R.I. COFFEE MILK OR COFFEE MILKSHAKE
I grew up with coffee milk and coffee "cabinets (milkshake)". They are made with the Original Coffee Syrup from R.I. You can get coffee syrup online from Autocrat Coffee or Eclipse. Coffee milk is the official R.I. drink!

- 2. For coffee cabinet/milk shake: In an electric blender, beat the coffee syrup, scoop of ice cream, and milk for 1 minute, or until ice cream is dissolved. Pour and serve immediately.
