This summer sipper is customizable. Out of rosemary? Try mint or sage. Not a tequila drinker? Vodka works just as well. Or make it a mocktail and replace the tequila with a splash of lime or blackberry sparkling water.

6 fresh blackberries, divided
3 sprigs fresh rosemary, divided
ice cubes
1 ½ fluid ounces tequila
1 fluid ounce lime juice
4 teaspoons simple syrup

Steps:

  • Put 4 blackberries and 2 sprigs of rosemary in a cocktail shaker; crush gently with a muddler or back of a wooden spoon. Add ice cubes, tequila, lime juice, and 4 teaspoons simple syrup. Cover and shake until very cold. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with more blackberries and remaining rosemary sprig.n

¼ cup thinly sliced rhubarb
1 teaspoon brown sugar
3 ounces gin
1 (12 fluid ounce) can Carbonated water; club soda

Steps:

  • Muddle rhubarb and brown sugar in a mixing glass until crushed. Add gin and stir to dissolve sugar. Strain into 2 ice-filled Collins or rocks glasses. Top with seltzer.

I have been infusing tequila for years with anything from jalapenos to blueberries. I like to use a good brand of tequila but it is not necessary since this tequila is not meant to be served in shots but in drinks, such as margaritas.

½ cup ice cubes, or as needed
3 ounces jalapeno-infused tequila
2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ounce triple sec
1 ounce simple syrup
kosher salt
1 wedge lime

Steps:

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup. Cover and shake until mixed and chilled.
  • Place kosher salt on a plate. Run lime wedge around edge of glass and dip into kosher salt. Strain margarita into the glass.

This is great for using up that extra rhubarb! It's a very kicky twist on a Cosmopolitan, and you can use the syrup to add a spark to any of your favorite drinks, from vodka lemonade to margaritas. The syrup makes enough for 12 cocktails, so invite your friends over!

2 cups water
1 cup white sugar
2 cups thinly sliced rhubarb
1 ½ fluid ounces good-quality vodka
½ fluid ounce triple sec liqueur
1 cup crushed ice

Steps:

  • To make the rhubarb syrup, place sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally. Lower heat to medium, and stir the rhubarb into the syrup. Simmer until rhubarb is softened and stringy, 5 to 7 minutes. Press out the juice with a spoon while straining syrup through cheesecloth or strainer into a glass jar or bottle. Discard rhubarb solids. Cool, and refrigerate syrup until needed.
  • To make a 'Barbtini, combine the vodka, 2 tablespoons rhubarb syrup, and triple sec in a shaker with ice. Shake until the outside of shaker is frosty. Strain into a martini glass.
