Fruity and Sweet Red Wine Sangria image

Sweet red wine sangria is made with wine, brandy, and fresh fruit, like orange, lemon, and green apple. It's a refreshing make-ahead beverage perfect for any occasion!

1 1.75 liter bottle of a good quality red wine
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup orange juice
1 fresh orange , cut into thin slices
1 fresh lemon , cut into thin slices
2 fresh green apples , diced
1 liter sparkling water , can use flavored or plain

Steps:

  • Combine the red wine, brandy, orange juice, and fruits in a large pitcher, cover, and chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • When ready to serve, add the sparkling water and stir well. Spoon some of the fruit into each glass, add ice (if desired), and pour the sangria over the top. Make a toast to everyone's good health and enjoy!

1 lemon (sliced)
1 lime (sliced)

Steps:

  • Mix all the sangria ingredients together in a pitcher or large measuring cup, and allow to sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Strain, if desired, and serve your sangria over ice.

1 bottle (750 ml) red wine
3/4 cup Truvia® Spiced Simple Syrup
3 cups sparkling water
Juice of 1 orange (about 1/4 cup)
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced
2 cups ice cubes
Truvia® Spiced Simple Syrup (makes 1 cup):
1 cup water
1/4 cup Truvia® natural sweetener, spoonable*
6 whole cloves
6 whole black peppercorns, crushed
3 whole allspice berries, crushed
*or 14 packets of Truvia® natural sweetener
1.Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepot, stir
2.Place on high heat, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes
3.Remove from heat, allow to cool completely
4.Pour syrup through a strainer to remove spices
5.Pour syrup into a jar with lid and store refrigerated. Shake before using.

Steps:

  • Combine wine, Truvia® Spiced Simple Syrup, sparkling water,orange juice and fruit slices and stir briskly. Serve over ice in large red wine glasses.
