ROYAL RED ROBIN BURGER RECIPE

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2lbs ground beef
salt and ground black pepper
4 slices American cheese
4 eggs
4 slices bacon
4 slices tomato
lettuce
mayonnaise
4 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • Add slices of the bacon to a cold frying pan and turn the heat to medium-low. While the bacon is cooking, frequently turn it over so that it cooks evenly on both sides.
  • Cook until the bacon has reached a deep brown color, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • Make 4 patties out of the ground beef and season the patties on both sides with salt and pepper. Lightly grease the grates of an outdoor grill.
  • Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Add the burger patties on cook turning at least once until the hamburgers are fully cooked (the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees F.). During the last few minutes of cooking top each patty with a slice of cheese and cook until melted.
  • Split the hamburger buns in half and place them cut-side down onto the grill. Cook until lightly toasted on the bottom. Remove from the grill.
  • Spray a large nonstick frying pan or griddle with cooking spray and fry the eggs over medium-heat to your liking such as sunny-side up, over-easy or over medium.
  • Top the bottom half of each toasted bun with lettuce, a hamburger patty, 1 slice of bacon (broken in half, 2 halves), tomato, and egg. Spread mayonnaise onto the bottom of the top half of each bun.
  • Place on top of the burger mayonnaise side down.

I made one of these for my DH and he exclaimed, "A Royal Red Robin!!!" The Red Robin restaurants serve these apparently! I'd never heard of them, just remembered my Grandpa loving them made like this! They have a fried egg on them! DH was in heaven!! Don't be scared, give it a try! :)

8 slices American cheese
4 eggs, fried over-medium
ketchup
4 slices bacon, cooked and cut in half
4 slices tomatoes
lettuce
mayonnaise
4 toasted buns or 4 toast

Steps:

  • Cook bacon til done, set aside, break in half when cool.
  • Make 4 nice patties out of the beef, season w/salt and pepper and grill or pan-fry til done in a little of the bacon fat.
  • Top each patty with a slice of cheese, lightly cover to keep warm, and set aside.
  • Fry eggs to your liking such as sunny-side up, over-easy or over-medium. DH says if the yolks are runny they're messy but great for dipping in!
  • Toast buns while eggs are cooking.
  • Set eggs aside.
  • Assemble burger as so:.
  • bottom bun.
  • 1 slice cheese
  • burger w/cheese.
  • fried egg.
  • a little ketchup.
  • 2 bacon pieces.
  • tomato.
  • lettuce.
  • top bun spread w/mayo.
  • And there you have it! A Royal Red Robin!
  • Great served with hash browns or french fries!

ketchup
4 slices bacon, cooked and drained and cut in half
4 slices tomato, or 8 if using romas
lettuce
mayo
4 toasted and buttered buns or texas toast

Steps:

  • 1. Cook bacon til done, set aside, break in half when cool. Make 4 nice patties out of the beef, season w/salt and pepper and grill or pan-fry til done in a little of the bacon fat. Top each patty with a slice of cheese, lightly cover to keep warm, and set aside. Fry eggs to your liking such as sunny-side up, over-easy or over-medium.
