I based this recipe on a dish my husband likes to order when we go out for Italian food. Not only does he love it, my one-year-old daughter does, too. She'll grab a whole ravioli and eat it! -Jennifer Berger, Eau Claire, Wisconsin

1 package (25 ounces) frozen cheese ravioli
1-1/2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
1-1/3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 jar (15 ounces) Alfredo sauce

Steps:

  • Cook ravioli according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the ham, mushrooms, onion and green pepper in oil over medium heat 4-5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. , Spread 2 tablespoons Alfredo sauce into a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Stir remaining sauce into ham mixture; cook 3-4 minutes or until heated through. , Drain ravioli; place half in the prepared baking dish. Top with half the ham mixture. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.

Turn leftover ham into the main attraction, with plenty of fresh veggies and yummy pasta tossed with ranch dressing.

3 cups uncooked small shell pasta (12 oz)
2 cups frozen sweet peas
3 cups diced cooked ham
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup dill pickle relish, drained
8 oz Colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend, diced (2 cups)
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup ranch salad dressing
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Cook and drain pasta as directed on package, adding peas during last 2 to 3 minutes of cooking time. Rinse with cold water to cool. Drain well.
  • Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix ham, celery, bell pepper, pickle relish and cheese. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
  • Add pasta and peas to salad; stir gently to mix. Add mayonnaise mixture; toss to coat. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until serving time.

2 cups chopped cooked ham
2 cups chopped unpeeled cucumbers
1 cup finely chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped green onions (8 medium)
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain; rinse with cold water to cool. Drain well.
  • Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix remaining salad ingredients. In small bowl, mix all dressing ingredients until well blended.
  • Add cooked pasta to salad. Pour dressing over salad; toss to coat. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until serving time.

2 cups ham, cooked and chopped

1/2 cup milk

  • Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix remaining salad ingredients and set aside.

  • Add cooked and cooled pasta to salad.
  • Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat.
  • Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate.

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
1 9-ounce package fresh cheese ravioli, fresh cooked
1 1/2 cups diced ham
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 3.75-ounce jar marinated mushrooms, drained
4 green onions, chopped
Black olives (optional)
Grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Combine first 6 ingredients in large bowl and whisk to blend. Rinse ravioli under cold water to cool; drain. Add ravioli, ham, bell pepper, mushrooms and green onions to vinaigrette; toss to coat. Season salad to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and chill at least 30 minutes. (Can be prepared 3 hours ahead; mix occasionally. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes before serving.)
  • Arrange salad on large platter. Garnish with olives, if desired. Serve, passing Parmesan cheese separately.
