- Preheat oven to 325°. Place potatoes in a greased 11x7-in. baking dish; dot with butter. Cover and bake 60-65 minutes or until tender. , Combine sour cream and salad dressing mix; spoon over potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

These potatoes are so darn good, you will want to make them often! I added bacon, but you could also add chopped onion while cooking the potatoes...both are great options! Enjoy!

- 1. Place potatoes in a greased 11x7, dot with butter. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 60-65 min or until tender. Combine sour cream and salad dressing mix; spoon over the potatoes. Sprinkle with bacon bits (the soft ones, not bacos). Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered for 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

- Add the potatoes to a saucepan.
- Add water to cover.
- Bring to a boil; cook about 10-12 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender; drain.
- Place drained potatoes into a greased 13x9 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together the soup, milk, salad dressing mix, 1 cup cheese, salt and pepper to taste; pour over potatoes.
- Sprinkle crumbled bacon and the remaining cheese over the top.

These look very good. Recipe is from Simple and Delicious. Update 3/21/09: I've made these recently and I think I will use only half of the ranch dressing mix the next time because I felt it was a little too strong. I will leave the original recipe as is, though.
