Steps:
- Cook with lid off.
- Pour water into pan and add butter.
- Heat on high until water comes to a boil.
- Then, add rice, assorted pepper, and cook on low heat until rice softens.
- Add tuna after rice softens and most water is absorbed.
- Keep an eye on the rice to tell when it is done Cool and serve.
- Great left over lunch.

This quick and easy tuna and rice casserole recipe is cooked on the stove top and uses only one pot.

Steps:
- Add broth to Dutch oven or heavy pot and bring to a light boil on medium-high heat.
- Add rice, onion powder, peas, black pepper, and paprika and bring to a boil again on medium heat.
- Cover, lower heat to low-medium.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes or until rice is cooked, keeping covered.
- Add tuna, cream of mushroom soup, and cheese and stir to incorporate.
- Turn heat off. Let sit uncovered about 10 minutes to allow cheese to melt.

- Preheat oven to 400* and put rice and tuna into casserole dish.
- On the stove, heat soup, adding the water to it. Bring to a boil.
- Add peas, stir and bring to boil again.
- Pour on top of rice. Lay cheese on top.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

TUNA RICE
On a lazy afternoon, this is the easiest rice recipe provided you have a tin of tuna! It is quick, but very very yummy.

Steps:
- In a non-stick pan, head oil and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add cumin seeds and curry leaves, roast for a few seconds.
- Add the onions, green chillies and salt, cook till onion is done.
- Add the ginger, garlic and tomato and cook again till the tomatoes become totally cooked.
- Add the turmeric, chili, coriander, pepper and garam masala powders and mix well.
- Roast them till a nice smell comes.
- Add the tomato paste and mix well.
- Add the tuna, and mix well.
- Leave to cook for 3-5 minutes or till tuna is done.
- Add the cooked rice after that and mix very well, till the whole rice becomes the color of the tuna mixture.
- Close the lid and leave the rice for a couple of minutes on low flame.
- Serve hot with raita, pickle and fried chicken.
