QUICK & SPICY PRAWN CURRY
A hot and creamy prawn curry to tantalise your taste buds, perfect for a quick midweek meal

Steps:
- Heat the oil in a large wok style pan and fry the onion, ginger and garlic stirring, for 5 minutes.
- Add the chilli and carry on frying for another 5 minutes or until the onions start turning golden.
- Add the spices and fry for 2 minutes, stirring.
- Cook the Veetee Basmati Rice in the microwave according to the instructions.
- Add the prawns, chopped tomatoes and tomato paste, bring to the boil and then lower to a simmer for 3 minutes, stirring.
- Stir in the single cream and heat through for 2 more minutes.
- Serve with the Veetee Basmati Rice and garnish with chopped coriander.
SPICY PRAWN CURRY RECIPE

Spicy Prawn Curry has the perfect blend of spices with just an extra touch of red chili powder to make it spicier. Prawn Curry is usually made with coconut milk but in this recipe, we have omitted that ingredient. - In a bowl, add prawns and then chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, ginger paste, and garlic paste. Mix well and keep it aside for 10 mins. Take another bowl and combine pureed tomato and onion paste. Keep it aside for a while.
- Next, in a pan, add oil and then prawns. Cook them well from both sides and then transfer the cooked prawns to a bowl.
- In the same pan, add cinnamon, green chillies, fennel seeds, onion, and salt. Cook till the onions turn slightly golden in colour. Then add ginger and garlic paste. Mix everything. Now, add tomatoes and the pureed onion tomato paste. Mix well and cook till the raw smell fades away.
- Now, add red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala to the prepared gravy. Mix to combine everything well. Add 1/2 cup water (you can add more if you want to keep the gravy thin in texture). Let it come to a boil and then add prawns. Mix it well and simmer it for 5 mins.
- Lastly, garnish the spicy prawn curry with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve it hot alongside rice or rotis. Enjoy this ravishing Spicy Prawn Curry.

- Take cleaned prawns in a bowl and marinate with ingredients under the section "For marination". Mix well and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and green chillies. Sauté till translucent.
- Now add the ginger-garlic paste and curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix well. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the marinated prawns, required salt and mix well.
- Cook on medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Now add 1/2 cup of water and cook further covered for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
- Finally add garam masala powder, mix well. and turn off heat.
- Garnish with coriander.serve hot with hot white rice, chapatis/rotis or any flat bread.
