RITZ® COOKIES

Steps:

• Crumble crackers finely in mixing bowl and add pecans. In another bowl, add 1/2 cup sugar to beaten egg whites slowly and beat until very stiff. Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar slowly. Add vanilla. Fold this mixture into crackers and nuts.
• Spoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until light brown.

PUTTIN'-ON-THE-RITZ CANDY

Steps:

• In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the caramel topping and pecans on high for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until mixture is thickened. Cool for 5 minutes. Place the crackers on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Spoon 1 teaspoon caramel mixture over each cracker. Refrigerate for 1 hour. , In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and shortening; stir until smooth. Dip the bottom of each cracker in chocolate; shake off excess. Place caramel side down on waxed paper-lined pans. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until set. Store in an airtight container.

PUTTING ON THE RITZ COOKIES

Steps:

• Cook dates, milk and pecans until thick.
• Line crackers on cookie sheet.
• Put a dollop of mixture on each cracker.
• Bake 350 for 20 to 30 mins and cool.
• Mix powdered sugar, butter and cream cheese together,top each cracker with this mixture.
• Put in fridge until set.
• Makes 38 crackers.

RITZ COOKIES

Steps:

• Put peanut butter between crackers.
• Melt almond bark over double boiler.
• Dip crackers into almond bark and lay them on wax paper.

PUTTING ON THE RITZ

Steps:

• 1. Cook pecans, dates and milk over low heat until thick. Cool. Put a spoonful on each cracker. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 min. at 350 degrees. Cool.
• 2. ICING: Mix cream cheese, butter, vanilla and confectioner's sugar until smooth. Blend well. Ice every cracker. I make one stripe down each cracker. This makes them look prettier but you will have some icing left-over. I also rather use Town House Original Topper crackers because they have an indentation on top.
