PRAIRIE FIRE BEAN DIP

Prairie Fire Bean Dip image

Back in the early 1970's we had a group of us young married couples that always got together every weekend to do fun things. We'd play air hockey, go out for dinners in nice restaurants, listen to music, watch movies and have pizza parties. We never just had pizza only, but we'd put together a full buffet of appetizers and...

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 can(s) 16 oz each red kidney beans, drained, liquid reserved
1/2 c butter
16 oz shredded cheddar and co-jack cheeses, mixed
1/3 c diced jalapenos. i used pickled jarred kind. use as much as you prefer.
2 Tbsp minced fresh onion
2 clove garlic, minced

Steps:

  • 1. Drain beans, reserving 2/3 cups of the liquid
  • 2. Mash beans with potato masher until creamy
  • 3. Mix together all ingredients
