POTSTICKERS RECIPE (WITH POTSTICKER DOUGH)

Potstickers Recipe (with Potsticker Dough) image

In addition to the ingredients below, you'll need water and cooking oil for cooking the potstickers (canola, grapeseed, vegetable or peanut cooking oil)

Provided by Jaden

Categories     Main Course

Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 21

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour ((2.5 cups = 300 gram plus more for dusting))
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup just-boiled hot water
1/3 cup iced cold water
8 ounces minced or finely shredded cabbage (Napa or regular)
8 ounces ground pork (ground meat of your choice)
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
freshly ground white pepper (or black)
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon Chinese rice wine (optional)
1/2 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
2 tablespoons minced chives (Chinese or regular)
4 ounces diced water chestnuts (canned is fine)
3-4 large fresh shiitake mushrooms (finely diced)
1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 teaspoons rice vinegar (or cider vinegar, white vinegar)
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cloves garlic (very finely minced)
1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
minced fresh chili peppers (optional)

Steps:

  • To a large bowl, measure in the flour and the salt. Pour in the boiled water and stir the flour immediately and vigorously with a large wooden spoon until the flour resembles loose crumbles (about 30 seconds). Pour in the iced-cold water (discard the ice first, but make sure you have correct measurement of water). Stir vigorously again for 30 seconds or until a shaggy dough begins to form. Set aside spoon and use your hands to knead the dough in the bowl, while picking up flour/dough on the sides of the bowl. Knead for 2 minutes in the bowl. Turn out the dough onto a clean work surface. No need to dust the work surface with flour - unless the dough really sticks). The dough should be soft and elastic enough that kneading is very easy. Continue to knead your dough for another 3-5 minutes. As you knead the dough, it should become more smooth. In a medium sized bowl, plop in the dough ball, cover dough loosely with a barely damp paper towel and then cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Let rest for 20 minutes while you prepare the filling and the dipping sauce.
  • In a bowl, mix the shredded cabbage with 1/4 teaspoon of salt (1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt, if using.) Set aside while you move on to next step of recipe.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the ground pork with soy sauce, ground pepper, cornstarch, rice wine (if using) and sesame oil. Add in the chives, water chestnuts and mushrooms.
  • Back to the cabbage - grab a handful of cabbage, squeeze hard to expel the water into the sink. Add the dry cabbage into the bowl with the rest of the filling ingredients. Mix well. You can cook a spoonful of filling in a small frying pan for a taste, if you'd like.
  • Turn out the rested dough onto a lightly floured surface. Cut the dough in half, keep unused half under the damp paper towel to prevent from drying out. Roll out the other half into a long snake, about 1-1/4 inches in diameter. Cut into approximately 20 even pieces. Take 1 piece, gather up the edges and pinch together, forming a taut, round surface. Roll between palms to form ball. Squash between flat palms to flatten into disk. Use rolling pin to roll out to 3-1/2 inch diameter. Try to make the edges of wrapper thinner than the center. Repeat for remaining dough. If you don't have a helper on hand to fold the potstickers, keep wrappers under cover (plastic wrap or barely damp paper towel) to prevent drying out. Fill and fold potstickers according to the instructions and photos above in the post. Place folded potstickers on a floured piece of parchment or tin foil-lined baking sheet to prevent sticking.
  • Mix together dipping sauce ingredients. Set aside until ready to serve.
  • Have 1/4 cup water and a tight-fitting lid for your pan at the ready, by your stove. Heat a large, nonstick frying or saute pan over medium heat. When hot, swirl in a little cooking oil, just enough to swirl around. Carefully lay potstickers into the pan, they can touch a little, but do not overcrowd. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then peek under one or two potstickers to see if the bottoms have lightly browned. Adjust your heat if needed.
  • When lightly browned, it's time for the steaming. In one hand, have the lid ready. In the other, carefully pour in 1/4 cup of water into the pan. It will splatter, so please be careful. Immediately cover pan with the lid to trap the steam. Let cook for 2 minutes, then open the lid. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes, until all of the water has evaporated. Take a peek under the potsticker. You can add a little more cooking oil if it has trouble browning (but only after all the water has evaporated, otherwise it will splatter.) Shake the pan to loosen the potstickers, swirl in the oil and tilt pan to distribute the oil. When bottoms are nicely browned, plate and serve with dipping sauce.

FAST POT-STICKERS

Fast Pot-Stickers image

What can make pot-stickers a minimalist dish? One approach is called takeout and is already quite common. The alternative is using the wrappers now sold in just about every supermarket. Start with those, and a filling of ground pork (beef, chicken, turkey and lamb also work), cabbage, scallions, ginger and garlic. For a vegetarian pot-sticker, cabbage can dominate, complemented by chopped shiitakes, minced tofu, minced celery and carrots, chives or a combination. Wrap, seal and cook.

Categories     appetizer

Time 1h

Yield 4 main-course or 8 appetizer servings

Number Of Ingredients 10

3/4 pound ground pork or other meat
1 cup minced cabbage
2 tablespoons minced ginger
1 tablespoons minced garlic
6 scallions, the white and green parts separated, both minced
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons good soy sauce
48 dumpling wrappers
1 egg, lightly beaten in a bowl
4 tablespoons peanut oil or vegetable oil, more or less
1/4 cup rice vinegar or white vinegar

Steps:

  • Combine meat, cabbage, ginger, garlic, scallion whites and 2 tablespoons soy sauce in a bowl with 1/4 cup water. Lay a wrapper on a clean, dry surface, and using your finger or a brush, spread a bit of egg along half of its circumference. Place a rounded teaspoon of filling in center, fold over and seal by pinching edges together. (Do not overfill.) Place dumplings on a plate; if you want to wait a few hours before cooking, cover plate with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Or freeze, for up to two weeks.
  • To cook, put about 2 tablespoons oil in a large nonstick skillet and turn heat to medium-high. A minute later, add dumplings, one at a time; they can touch one another, but should still sit flat in one layer. Cook about 2 minutes, or until bottoms are lightly browned and most of the oil has been absorbed. Add 1/4 cup water per dozen dumplings to pan, and cover. Lower heat to medium, and let simmer about 3 minutes.
  • To make the dipping sauce, combine remaining soy sauce, green parts of scallions and vinegar.
  • Uncover dumplings, return heat to medium-high and cook another minute or two, until bottoms are dark brown and crisp and water evaporates. (Use more oil if necessary.) Serve hot, with sauce.

PERFECT POT STICKERS

Perfect Pot Stickers image

Homemade pot stickers are so versatile--you can fill them with anything you want and as full as you want. And the play between the crispy, crusty bottom, and the tender parts, makes for a truly unique dumpling. These are filled with ground pork, green onions, ginger, and cabbage.

Provided by Chef John

Categories     Appetizers and Snacks     Wraps and Rolls

Time 1h

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 16

1 pound ground pork
4 cloves minced garlic
½ cup finely chopped green onions
3 tablespoons very finely minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 ½ cups finely chopped green cabbage
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup hot water, about 130 -150 F (55-65 C)
¼ cup seasoned rice vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
6 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying, or as needed - divided
8 tablespoons water for steaming, divided

Steps:

  • Place ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, 2 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon soy sauce, sesame oil, and cayenne in a mixing bowl. Top with chopped green cabbage. Mix with fork until thoroughly combined. Tamp down lightly; cover with plastic. Refrigerate until chilled, about an hour.
  • Place flour and kosher salt in a mixing bowl. Slowly pour in hot water. Stir with a wooden spoon until mixture forms a shaggy dough. Flour your hands and transfer dough to a work surface. Knead dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. If dough seems too sticky, sprinkle with a bit more flour, about 3 to 5 minutes. Wrap dough ball in plastic, and let it rest about 30 minutes.
  • When dough has rested, divide into 4 equal pieces. Cover 3 pieces with a dish cloth while you work the first piece. Roll into a small log about the thickness of a thumb, about 3/4 inch. Divide each log into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin 3 1/2-inch circle on a lightly floured surface to form the pot sticker wrappers. Repeat with the remaining dough pieces.
  • Lightly moisten the edges of a wrapper with your wet finger. Place a small scoop of the ground pork mixture onto the center of a wrapper. Fold up the 2 sides and pinch together in the center. Pinch together the remaining edges, forming "pleats" along one side. Tap the pot sticker on the work surface to slightly flatten the bottom; form a slight curve in it so it stands upright in the pan. Transfer to a well-floured plate. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
  • Mix together seasoned rice vinegar and soy sauce in a small mixing bowl for the dipping sauce.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Place about 6 or 7 pot stickers in the hot oil, flat side down. Cook until bottoms are golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drizzle in water and quickly cover the pan; steam for 3 minutes. Uncover; reduce heat to medium. Continue cooking until water evaporates and bottoms are browned and crunchy, 1 or 2 minutes. Transfer to a warm serving dish. Repeat with remaining pot stickers. Serve with dipping sauce.

EASY POT STICKER SOUP

Easy Pot Sticker Soup image

Since my husband and I have soup often, I'm always coming up with something new. I saw pot stickers in the freezer and decided to feature them in an Asian soup. The results were delicious. Rice vinegar provides just the right tang, and the green onions and carrots add color. Stir in chopped cabbage or bok choy if you'd like. A little sesame oil goes a long way, but you can always add a bit more. -Darlene Brenden, Salem, Oregon

CHICKEN POTSTICKERS

Chicken Potstickers image

You can make this recipe with my fresh dumpling wrappers recipe. If you are making these dumplings ahead, freeze the pleated potstickers. After several hours, the dumplings should harden. Transfer the frozen dumplings to a freezer bag. DO NOT store pleated, uncooked potstickers in the refrigerator. The moisture from the filling will seep into the dumpling skin, and your dumplings will be a soggy mess. Depending on how much filling you put in each dumpling this recipe can make between 32 to 40 dumplings.

Provided by Lisa Lin

Categories     Dumplings

Time 1h55m

Number Of Ingredients 17

1 pound ground chicken
1 tablespoon canola or vegetable oil (plus more for frying dumplings)
2 tablespoons minced ginger
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 1/2 cups finely chopped Napa cabbage (white and green parts separated (see note))
1/3 cup chopped scallions
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
32 to 40 round dumpling wrappers (around 3.5" diameter)
water for cooking the dumplings
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup Zhenjiang vinegar (can sub with rice vinegar)
1 stalk of scallions (sliced)
1 clove garlic (sliced)
1/2- inch piece of ginger (sliced)
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

Steps:

  • Add the ground chicken to a bowl and set it aside. Note that if you are buying 1 pound of ground chicken in a pre-packaged container, the meat doesn't actually amount to 1 pound. The meat is usually only 14.5 to 15 ounces and the watery sac below the meat amounts to another pound. Don't worry, that amount of meat will work just fine for the recipe.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the ginger and garlic and cook for 15 to 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Add the chopped white portion of the cabbage and cook for 1 to 2 minutes minute. Add the green part of the cabbage, scallions, and salt and cook for another minute, until the greens star to wilt. Turn off the heat and let everything cool in the pan for about 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Transfer the vegetables and spices to the bowl with the chicken. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil and stir to combine all the ingredients.
  • Fill a small bowl with water for wrapping the dumplings. Grab a baking sheet for the finished dumplings and a towel to cover the dumplings to prevent them from drying out. Get a spoon for scooping the dumpling filling.
  • Dip the dumpling wrapper into the bowl of water. Rotate the wrapper so that 1/2 or 2/3 of the wrapper is wet, creating a wet border about 1/4 to 1/2-inch wide. If you are using fresh wrappers, you do not need to wet the border before using.
  • Place the wrapper on your left hand, the wet side facing away from you. Place about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of the wrapper (you may use more or less depending on the size of your dumpling wrapper).
  • Pinch together the wrapper on the right. Using your index fingers, create a pleat. Seal the pleat towards the right. Continue creating and sealing the pleats to the right until you reach the end of the dumpling. Use the photos above or this video as a reference.
  • If you want the dumpling pleats to go in two directions, towards the center, start folding the dumpling together like a taco. Pinch the wrapper together in the center (the left and right sides of the dumpling are not sealed. For the pleats to the right of this center pinch, you want to create pleats with your index fingers and seal them facing the left. For the pleats to the left of the center pinch, create and seal the pleats facing the right.
  • Continue pleating dumplings until you are out of filling or dumpling skins. If you notice that the dumplings are starting to dry out, cover them with a dry towel.
  • Heat a large nonstick pan with 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat. I use a 12-inch nonstick pan. Arrange the dumplings over the pan. I usually cook about 15 to 17 dumplings at a time. Pan fry the dumplings for 2 to 3 minutes, until the bottoms are golden.
  • Next, hold the pan lid with one hand and pour about 1/4 cup of water into the pan with your other hand. You want just enough to cover the bottom of the pan. When the water comes in contact with the hot oil, there will be a lot of splattering, so use the lid of the pan as a shield. Cover the pan, reduce the heat slightly to medium, and cook for 6 to 7 minutes.
  • Uncover the pan and let the dumplings cook for another minute or two, until the water is evaporated. Transfer the cooked dumplings to a plate.
  • Repeat this entire cooking process if you want to cook the remaining dumplings. If you want to cook the dumplings later, freeze them.
  • Mix all the dipping sauce ingredients together. I like preparing the sauce 30 minutes before serving. This allows the sauce to fully absorb the herbs and spices in it.
  • Serve the potstickers with the dipping sauce. These potstickers also go very well with my sweet chili sauce.

Number Of Ingredients 21

1 pound lean ground pork
4 large napa cabbage leaves, minced
6 stalks green onions, minced
7 shitake mushrooms, minced (if dried - rehydrated and rinsed carefully)
1/2 cup bok choy, minced
1/2 cup bamboo shoots, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons corn starch
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons sriracha, optional (non-traditional but I like the flavor it adds!)
36 won ton wrappers
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
water, as needed
soy sauce, for serving
green onions, optional garnish
4 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 ½ tablespoons rice vinegar
1 ½ tablespoons rice wine
1 teaspoon chili oil or chili sauce/paste, to taste (optional)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine all pork filling ingredients until well combined.
  • You will need a clean workspace, wonton wrappers, prepared pork filling, a small bowl of water, and chopsticks.
  • Begin by filling the wonton wrapper with about a tablespoons worth of pork filling. Wet your finger, and run along the edges of the wonton wrapper. This will help to seal it closed.
  • If your wrapper is round, fold the wrapper over the filling to create a half-moon shape, pinching the edges to seal. If you wrapper is square, scroll up to view the step by step images of how I fold my dumplings into a little purse dumpling.
  • Once you have filled the dumplings you can freeze them or eat them fresh.
  • Place the dumplings in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes.
  • Then place in a ziplock baggie, where they can be frozen for up to 3 months.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the skillet and place dumplings in an even layer. Fry for a few minutes until bottoms are golden.
  • Add 1/3 cup of water and cover with a tight fitting lid. Cook until the water has boiled away and then uncover and reduce heat to medium or medium low.

CHICKEN POTSTICKERS

Chicken Potstickers image

Chicken Potstickers - Ground chicken, cabbage coleslaw, scallions, soy sauce and plenty of savory seasonings are nestled in a dumpling wrapper and fried to perfection.

Provided by Katerina | Easy Weeknight Recipes

Categories     Side Dish

Time 3h15m

Number Of Ingredients 17

3 cups cabbage coleslaw mix
3 cloves garlic, (minced)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground chicken
1 egg
1/4 cup diced scallions
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 package (10 to 12 ounces) dumpling wrappers, (round)
1 tablespoon water, (plus more for cooking)
1/2 cup olive oil, (for frying)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes, (optional)
salt and pepper, (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds, (for garnish)

Steps:

  • In a medium skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add 3 cups of coleslaw mix and minced garlic. Cook about 5 minutes or until coleslaw is wilted and garlic is fragrant.
  • In a mixing bowl, add the ground chicken, egg, diced scallions, soy sauce, cooked coleslaw mixture, salt and pepper. Using your hands, mix together until well combined. Set aside.
  • Prepare your workspace by laying out a small pile of potsticker wrappers and filling a small dish with water (to use for sticking the edges of the wrappers together).
  • Place three wrappers out on the table or work surface. Using your finger, gently wet all the way around the edge of the wrapper. Place roughly 1 teaspoon of chicken mixture in the middle of each.
  • Start by folding and pinching one end of the wrapper and gently pleat on one side of the wrapper, pressing together the tops of the edges until completely closed. (Use a bit more water to seal the edges if needed). Place each folded potsticker on a separate plate or baking sheet until all are completed. Once all are folded, you can either cook right away or freeze for later use (see notes below).
  • If cooking all of the potstickers at the same time, you will need to cook your potstickers in batches.
  • For your first batch, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Place 12 potstickers (pleated-side up) in the frying pan and cook uncovered for 3 minutes or until the bottoms are nicely browned. Then, add 4 cups of water in the pan and cover. Continue cooking for 6 minutes.
  • Uncover and flip the potstickers to the other side. Continue to cook for an additional 4 minutes. Repeat in small batches until all the potstickers are cooked.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve.
  • Combine all ingredients for the dipping sauce in a small dish.
  • Serve with warm potstickers and enjoy!

Time 1h40m

Number Of Ingredients 17

2 cups chopped napa cabbage
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 pound ground pork (Don't get lean pork, the fat is good for juicy and flavorful dumplings)
2 tablespoons minced ginger
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons thin soy sauce
3 tablespoons sesame oil
1 egg
1 to 2 cups chicken stock or water
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups boiling water
1/3 cup thin soy sauce
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
1/3 cup sliced scallions
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon sambal

Steps:

  • Sprinkle cabbage with the 1/2 tablespoon of salt and let stand for 30 minutes. Place the cabbage on a clean dishtowel or cheesecloth and squeeze out any water. The dryer the cabbage the better. In a large bowl thoroughly mix the cabbage with all of the other ingredients, except the chicken stock. Cook a tester to check the seasoning.;
  • GUEST CHEF: MING'S MOM (IRIS LEE TSAI) .
  • In a stainless steel bowl mix flour and salt. Slowly add hot water to flour in 1/4 cup increments. Mix with chopsticks until a ball is formed and the dough is not too hot to handle. On a floured surface, knead dough until it becomes a smooth, elastic ball. Place back in bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rest for at least 1 hour. Working on a floured surface with floured hands, roll out dough to form a long 'noodle', 1-inch in diameter. Cut 1/2-inch pieces and turn them over so the cut sides are facing up. Flatten with your palm and roll out thin using a rolling pin. The dumpling wrapper should end up about 3 inches in diameter.
  • MAKING THE DUMPLINGS: Place a small mound of filling in the middle of the wrapper. (Be very careful not to touch the edges with the filling as this will impede proper sealing of the dumplings. Nothing is worse than dumplings breaking during cooking.) Fold the wrapper in half to form a half moon shape. Starting on one end fold/pinch the wrapper tightly together. Proceed with this fold/pinch method until the dumpling is completely sealed. There will be approximately 10 to 14 folds per dumpling. Rest the dumplings with the folded edges straight up.
  • COOKING THE DUMPLINGS: In a hot saute pan coated well with oil, place pot stickers flat side down and cook until the bottom is browned. Have pan cover ready and add 1 cup of chicken stock, cover immediately. Be careful, the liquid will splatter! The stock will steam the pot stickers. Check them in 5 minutes as more stock may be needed. The trick here is that once the dumplings are firm and fully cooked the stock will evaporate and the bottoms will crisp-up again.
  • Combine all and serve in a small bowl.
  • PLATING: Serve pot stickers on a large platter lined with lettuce with a bowl of dipping sauce on the side.

  • Cut the shrimp into small pieces. Combine the shrimp, scallion, salt, rice wine, sesame oil, corn starch, ground white pepper in a bowl, stir and mix well to form a sticky filling.
  • Place a piece of wrapper on your palm and spoon about 1 heaping teaspoon of the filling onto the wrapper. Do not overfill. Dip your index finger into a small bowl of water and circle around the outer edges of the wrapper. Fold the potsticker over to form a half moon shape and pleat and pinch the folds, as pictured below. Finish by pressing the edges with your thumb and index finger to ensure that the potsticker is sealed tightly and there is no leakage. Place the potsticker on a floured surface or baking sheet. This will avoid the potstickers from sticking to the surface.

  • Potsticker Wrappers. Mix the flour with water and knead it for about 20-25 minutes or until the dough becomes soft. Separate the dough into two equal portions and roll them into cylinders (about 1-inch in diameter). Cover them with a wet towel and set aside. To make the wrapper, cut the dough into 1/4-inch length dough balls. Use a rolling pin to flatten it until it becomes a round wrapper, about 3 inch in diameter. Repeat the same until all dough balls are used up. (You may use a pack of store-bought potsticker wrappers.)
  • Potsticker Filling. Combine the ground pork, Napa cabbage, scallions, white pepper, wine, sesame oil, salt and ginger together. Stir to mix well. Set aside.
  • To make potstickers, place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of the wrapper. Dab a little water with your finger and circle around the edge of the skin. Fold and pleat the potsticker, about 5 pleats. Repeat the same until all ingredients are used up.

  • Make a stir-fry with them. Prepare the potstickers according to the package directions and add them to your favorite saucy stir-fry. You can vary the sauce and vegetable combination and never have the same thing twice.
  • Serve them with an Asian-style slaw. Cabbage is a wonderfully affordable vegetable and works well in Asian-style dishes. Stir up a big bowl of slaw and top it with potstickers.
  • Stir them into soup. Potstickers are similar to wontons, so why not use them as a substitute in your next batch of broth? You’ll have more frequent requests for soup night.
  • Top a rice bowl with them. Rice bowls are quick and easy suppers that allow you to use whatever you’ve got on hand. Stir up a batch of fried rice and feature potstickers as the main attraction.
  • Make a pasta salad with them and your favorite Asian-style dressing. If one can make a pasta salad with tortellini or ravioli, why not with potstickers?
  • Make pad Thai with them instead of noodles. Love the flavors of pad Thai? Swap out the noodles and use potstickers instead. The dumpling filling adds an extra dimension of flavor and texture.
  • Toss them into a salad. As you might top a salad with fried ravioli, you can do the same with fried dumplings. Assemble the fixings of your favorite Asian-style salad and toss a few potstickers on top for good measure.
  • Cook them on the grill. Can’t stand the heat? Get out of the kitchen. Coat potstickers with oil and cook them on a hot grill, turning every few minutes until cooked through.
  • Serve an Asian-inspired appetizer dinner. Assemble your favorite Asian-style appetizers, such as egg rolls, summer rolls, teriyaki meatballs, and lettuce wraps.
  • Dip them in sauce and call it good. Potstickers are so delicious on their own, there’s no harm in just serving them as is. Be sure to make your own sauce, though — the stuff in the frozen packets is for the birds.
