HONEY LIME POPPY SEED FRUIT SALAD



Honey Lime Poppy Seed Fruit Salad image

A delicious and bright fruit salad made with fresh fruit and a delicious honey lime poppyseed glaze to go on top!

1 cup strawberries (sliced)
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup kiwis
1/2 cup mangoes (sliced and cubed)
1 Tablespoon Honey
3 Tablespoons Lime Juice
1 Tablespoon poppy seeds
Fresh Chopped Mint for garnish

Steps:

  • Cut and prepare the fruit and put into a large mixing bowl. In a small bowl, whisk the honey, lime juice and poppy seeds.
  • Drizzle the honey lime poppy seed glaze over the fruit and gently toss. Top with chopped mint if desired. Serve immediately.

1 cup mandarin orange

1/4 cup skim milk
1/4 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1/8 cup white vinegar

  • Toss salad ingredients together in a large bowl.

1/3 cup slivered almonds
1 bunch romaine, torn (about 8 cups)
1 small onion, halved and thinly sliced
2 cups halved fresh strawberries
DRESSING:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 tablespoon 2% milk
2-1/4 teaspoons cider vinegar
1-1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Place sugar in a small heavy skillet; cook and stir over medium-low heat until melted and caramel-colored, about 10 minutes. Stir in almonds until coated. Spread on foil to cool. , Place romaine, onion and strawberries in a large bowl. Whisk together dressing ingredients; toss with salad. Break candied almonds into pieces; sprinkle over salad. 1 package (3 ounces) ramen noodles
2 packages (5 ounces each) spring mix salad greens
1 head iceberg lettuce, torn
1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/3 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1 small onion, cut into wedges
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1 cup canola oil
4 teaspoons poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Crush ramen noodles; discard seasoning packet. In a large salad bowl, toss the greens, lettuce, noodles, oranges and almonds; set aside. , For dressing, in a blender, combine the vinegar, sugar, onion, salt and mustard; cover and process until smooth. While processing, gradually add oil in a steady stream. Stir in poppy seeds. Serve with salad.

1/4 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard (aka mustard powder)
1 teaspoon onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup grapeseed oil* (or other neutral oil like organic vegetable or canola)
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Variation: 1 to 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, for creamy poppy seed dressing

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, white vinegar, dry mustard, onion flakes, and kosher salt. (For the creamy variation, whisk in the mayonnaise here.)

4 celery stalks, finely chopped
4 cups seedless grapes, halved
2 cups slivered almonds
2 cups mayonnaise

2 tablespoons dried dill
1 loaf white sandwich bread

Steps:

  • Boil the chicken in a large pot filled with water until done, about 45 minutes. Drain the chicken and set aside to cool. Once the chicken is cooled, dice into small pieces and place in a large mixing bowl. Add the celery, grapes, almonds, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, poppy seeds and dill. Mix until the salad is fully combined. Cut the crusts off of the bread and place a few tablespoons in between each sandwich, pressing to make it easy to pick up.
