ORANGE POMEGRANATE SALAD WITH HONEY

Orange Pomegranate Salad with Honey image

I discovered this fragrant salad in a cooking class. If you can, try to find orange flower water (also called orange blossom water), which perks up the orange segments. But orange juice adds a nice zip, too! -Carol Richardson Marty, Lynwood, Washington

Time 10m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 large pomegranates
4 teaspoons orange flower water

  • Strawberry Pomegranate and Rose Petal Mess. Use store-bought meringues and skip the first step, if you prefer. Drizzle with pomegranate molasses and rose water; top wtih pomegranate seeds, sumac, and rose petals.
  • Lamb Shanks with Pears and Pistachios. Add rose water to the simmer pan and watch a hearty, nutty winter dish get instant levity and whimsy. View Recipe.
  • Orange Carpaccio with Orange-Flower Water and Pistachios. Orange-flower water is very potent, but a couple of drops can make a simple fruit plate feel a little exotic.

  • Cava Sangria with Rose Water. Bubbly, fruity, floral and exactly what you want to sip on for a whole summer day. Be warned: this goes down easy and sneaks up on you.
  • Rose Water Marshmallows. These old-fashioned marshmallows look beautiful in apothecary jars. Find one at a flea market or at Williams-Sonoma. View Recipe.
