This pomegranate margarita is a festive twist to the classic margarita, perfect for Christmas and the holidays!

- If you'd like, salt the rim of your glass. Stir together the tequila, orange liqueur, pomegranate juice and lime juice in a small pitcher. Pour the pomegranate margarita into a glass full of ice. Garnish with lime slices, and fresh pomegranate arils.

- Divide pomegranate juice among three ice-cube trays; freeze until solid, at least 3 hours and up to 1 week.
- Working in 2 batches, puree juice cubes, lime juice, tequila, granulated sugar, and liqueur in a blender until smooth.
- Combine equal parts salt and turbinado sugar on a plate; place additional lime juice in a bowl. Dip rims of glasses in juice, then salt mixture. Spoon margaritas into glasses and serve.

My mother found this recipe in Woman's Day and thought it looked fun. And it is supposed to be excellent for hot flashes!! Timing does not include the cooling of sugar syrup.

Steps:
- Pour sugar and water into saucepan; set saucepan over medium heat; stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Let cool.
- In a blender, mix the sugar syrup, juices, tequila, liquor, and ice cubes and puree until slushy.
- Pour into salt rimmed glasses and enjoy!

POMEGRANATE MARGARITAS
Steps:
- Pour lime juice, tequila, Triple Sec, pomegranate juice and Habanero Simple Syrup into a small pitcher filled with ice and stir well. Pour into ice filled glasses and garnish with lime wedges.;
- Place sugar and water in a small saucepan and stir to combine. Poke holes in the habanero and add to the saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved and syrup is slightly thickened, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.

- Pour salt onto a plate or shallow dish. With a lime wedge rub along the rim of a glass and dip glasses upside down to salt the rim. Fill glasses with ice. In a cocktail shaker with ice place the tequila, triple sec, pomegranate juice, and lime juice. Pour into the salt-rimmed glasses and top off with club soda. Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired.

- Mix 2 oz. of tequila with a splash of Cointreau, lime juice and pomegranate liqueur. Top off with 2 oz. of sour mix. Squeeze in some fresh lime juice and shake over ice. Serve over ice in a salt-rimmed glass. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge.

- Combine all ingredients, except salt, in a blender and pulse until frothy and well combined. Rim glasses with lime juice using a lime wedge then dip in margarita salt, drop some fresh pomegranate seeds in the bottom of the glass and pour margarita mix over the top.

- Place coarse salt on a small plate. Rub rim of glass with lime wedge and dip in coarse salt if desired. Add ice cubes to glass if using.
- Combine drink ingredients in a cocktail shaker, add some ice and shake vigorously, then strain into prepared glass. Garnish rim with lime wedge.
