I found this recipe on another website (don't remember which one). They are really easy and very good. Much better than a buttered noodle, although there is a lot of sodium. I use low sodium chicken broth.

2 tablespoons butter
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
12 ounces egg noodles

Steps:

  • In a large pan, brown the butter.
  • Add broth and boullion cube, bring to a boil.
  • Add noodles, bring to a second boil, cover and turn off heat. (leave pot on the same burner).
  • Let stand 30 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times.

Growing up in South Bend, Indiana, Polish dinner buffets are extremely common at weddings and funerals. Polish noodles are a staple at these events and served alongside Polish sausage, green beans, mashed potatoes and chicken gravy, and fried chicken. While at a Polish meat market, an elderly Polish lady passed this recipe on to me upon request.

1 (49.5 fluid ounce) can chicken broth
½ cup water, or as desired
1 tablespoon chicken soup base, or more to taste
1 (16 ounce) package kluski noodles

Steps:

  • Combine chicken broth, water, and chicken base in a 6-quart saucepan and bring to a boil. Add kluski noodles, reduce heat, and simmer until liquid is completely absorbed, 30 to 40 minutes.

6 to 7 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
6 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup water
1 tablespoon canola oil
Melted butter and minced fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine 6 cups flour and salt. Make a well in the center. Beat eggs and water; pour into well. Stir together, forming a dough. Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead 8-10 times. , Divide dough into eight portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 1/16-in.-thick square. Let stand, uncovered, for 10 minutes. , Roll up, jelly-roll style. Using a sharp knife, cut into 1/4-in. slices. Unroll noodles and dry in a single layer on paper towels for 1 hour before cooking. , To cook, bring salted water to a rapid boil. Add noodles and oil to boiling water; cook for 2 minutes or until tender but not soft. Drain; toss with butter and parsley if desired.

4 cups uncooked penne pasta
1-1/2 pounds smoked Polish sausage or kielbasa, cut into 1/2-inch slices
2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 jar (16 ounces) sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
3 cups shredded Swiss cheese, divided
1-1/3 cups 2% milk
4 green onions, chopped
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
4 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and transfer to a large bowl. Stir in sausage, soup, sauerkraut, 2 cups cheese, milk, onions, mustard and garlic., Spoon into 2 greased 8-in. square baking dishes; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, until golden brown and bubbly, 45-50 minutes. Freeze option: Cover and freeze unbaked casserole up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake, uncovered, until golden brown and bubbly, 50-55 minutes.

Polish Kluski Noodles with chicken in sauce

Kluski noodles...1/2 bag cooked (I couldn't find just the noodles on the tracker and really you could use any kind of noodles you'd like)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1-2 chicken breasts torn into bite size pieces or leftover chicken.
About 2 T margarine or butter
chicken broth and water added to make it the consistency you prefer.

Steps:

  • Boil noodles according to package directions, I don't get them completely done. I short the cook time by a min or 2.
  • Cut up cooked chicken into bite sized pieces.
  • Put in large pot
  • Add soup and margarine
  • Add water (I usually rinse the soup can with water half full.)and broth to consistency you prefer
  • simmer until heated through.

Number Of Ingredients 7

12 cups Water
6 tablespoons Soup Base
1 cup Butter
1/2 tablespoon Onion Powder
2 bags Kluski Egg Noodles
1 jar Heinz Chicken Gravey
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup

Steps:

  • Mix water, soup base,m butter and onion powder in large pan and bring to boil. Add 2 packages of Kluskis noodles. Turn off heat and stir every 1/2 hour.
  • After one hour, add Heinz chicken gravy and can of cream of chicken soup.
  • Mix together and place in slow cooker, stir not too often as noodles will break. Season to taste.
